Ok, besides all the obvious stuff, what has noticeably changed with you over the last 365 days?
Let's try to keep this topic balanced.

For me I've really noticed my age catching up to me, I try to stay positive and active I even do light exercise twice a day.
I don't smoke and drink very little. I am a water and coffee guy now. I feel I am doing all the "right" things.
But, man do busy days seem to wear me out more and more.

While I've always been young at heart, the last 365 days have caught up to me. I still enjoy life and try to live every minute of it, just now I need to catch my breath at times.. LOL

I'm a year older.

What kind of bike? I was thinking on buying a bike but have no idea what is good value

Buy a used 250 they hold their value well. And buy a ventilated mesh jacket.

Courses need to stress that with new riders. It sucks riding on city streets in normal motorcycle jackets. You get too hot and want to become a squid. 🤣

Oh I thought OP was talking about a peddle bike

A random from iRacing reached out (I use my real name on there.) Ended up being a college buddy who knew me by name and recognized the motorcycle in my display pic.

Then got invited to join a Formula E team in Toronto after doing a few laps with him in iRacing. Not sure if he's insane or not because I've never driven a car on a race track in real life lmao

I bought a bike and started riding.

HAVE FUN!!! And don't be a retard and sell it if you enjoy it like me. Very hard to get back into it mid life.

365 days is a long time to track changes.

In that time:

- I got depressed, then got better.
- Gained a bunch of weight, then lost a little bit of it.
- Got sick, got better.
- Bought a whole bunch of bikes in that time, selling another bike.
- Moved a couple of times.
- Got a job, thinking about quitting it and leaving it all behind again soon.

A year is a long time.

Really focused on exploring our backyard. We got some kayaks. Nothing special. Between cycling and kayaking, we are doing ok fitness wise. The booze doesn’t help. We enjoy the vino and cocktails a little too much I’d say. But what the hell. It wasn’t like we’d go anywhere and see people.

Now that things are opening up, May cut back on the booze. However, as I write this, I’m sipping a Merlot on the front porch.

Just got a motorcycle and enjoying it after a brief hiatus.

Now I google farkles and things. Tires, and such.

My career? It’s in purgatory for the time being. Let’s just say a lot is beyond my control and I’m getting paid well to do a job I’m not really in love with. It’s not bad but, I’m looking forward to a package that may come at the end of this year. Or they offer me a job to stay. So I’m taking my time to see if it’s something I can do until retirement or take the cash and run.

Ooof….in 1 year…

- quit the BC job to work in Toronto with a 50% pay cut but way more time with the family and loving it
- gained 10lbs…lost 5lbs
- started riding again
- passed the PEO exam as I need it (working on my experience summary)
- promoted at work
- learned to make a good type of alcohol (so very very good)

Nothing really stands out but felt like my relationships started regrowing again. After being away so much your life changes, people grow more distant. And yes covid doesn’t help but I was able to rebuild that loss with cousins, sister, parents, and took 3 months of me being home for my son to see I’m not leaving them again.

Love it.

Now to only lose 10lbs more.

I improved my trail riding skills far more than I thought I could at my age

And the last 365 days have made me realize that maybe it's time for the race track routine that has dominated summers for so many years....needs a break...

- Got engaged
- More time spent with family, especially my nephew and nieces
- Spent time with childhood friends - one night in particular was really special and memorable
- Gained 6kg
- Started inline skating again after 20 years - was really surprised at how easy it was to pick up again after so long
- Stopped smoking completely - was a social smoker previously
- Took an interest in birdwatching
- Took an interest in being a first-time homebuyer and lost interest very quickly thereafter
- Discovered baby mangoes
- Rode street the least since I started riding
- Rode track the most since I started riding
- Rode dirt for the first time
