The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Two bad drivers I came across within seconds of each other while on my way to Hockley today.

This is the sort of behaviour that I will never understand. You do something wrong and then punish the person who calls you on it?
I'm not understanding your comment. Who did wrong, who called them on it, who punished them?

Do you mean the pickup driver trying to punish the camera driver by stopping dead?

I love driving in Brampton. No less than 5 vehicles made a left turn on full on reds on my way home. And one guy comind towards me pulls a youy(?) uee (?) Uturn right in front of me and almost hits a cyclist. Yesterday on the way home from my parents a lady makes a right from the left lane and almost takes out a guy on a Fury!

no, the white car cutting off the pickup at the end of the vid.

Yes, the camera car driver honked, calling the pickup driver on his bad behaviour. Pickup driver then stops dead to punish the camera car driver. Why; to amplify the evidence of his own idiocy and sense of entitlement?

You chased the Honda down just so you could glare at the driver? You gotta learn to let it go.

Looks like he was going a steady speed the whole way through. I wouldn't call that chasing down, more like catching up

I had no intention of catching up with the Honda, if I did I wouldn't have waited as long as I did at the stop sign. When I see someone that appears to be driving poorly or distracted I will usually look over to see what the cause of it is, it is part of being an aware rider.

Go to about 30 seconds and it looks like you're following him across the line. Don't get distracted. People tend to ride the middle of those narrow roads up north. It's best to crest hills in the right tire track. Be safe.

Thanks for the advice. I did follow him to the left a bit when he crossed the center line. Its a bit of a habit I have from riding these two lanes roads here in Caledon, I do so to maintain some what of a view in front of the car in front of me.
X2 on the right tire track when cresting hills, especially on the dirt roads. Just be careful as people who live on dirt roads tend to pull far out of their driveways before checking for traffic, so don't stay in the right tire track for too long.

or stay slightly left of lane center as your supposed to, and hang further back from the honda so you can see ahead - would be sensible. i believe the honda was expecting you to pass - perhaps because the honda driver has often experienced bikes flying by. no need to give the honda the hand up, and later the look. the honda driver even hugged the right side of the road after the stop sign waiting for you to pass by - the honda driver meant no harm, but rather just wanted you past and gone

edit bus driver crossing the line - no excuse for that.

That donkey in the mazda doesn't have their lights on. Man that drives me crazy. They really need to make automatic lights a safety requirement. See way too many people completely oblivious driving with no lights on.

What they need to do is make it law that dash lights only turn on when the headlights and taillights are on. That's how people judge the need for lights in an urban environment, from their ability to see the instruments. We don't need another gizmo to do it for us. But manufacturers are leaving the dash lights on full time because it makes the interior sparkle and improves sales. They're knowingly putting people at risk because it helps them make a few more bucks.

I'm in Quebec right now, and drivers actually move out of the left lane when you're behind them!!! What did they do right here!?!?
