I wonder if one of those cars in the chain had a dash cam. Would be interesting to see how this all began.

I have a huge beef with this. I understand that we have to give right of way to the bus, but I've seen Brampton, Vaughan and TTC buses pull out in front of cars while they still had their 4 ways on, or no signal at all. If I am approaching, and there isn't a signal, I start to pass. I've had many buses start to pull into my lane when I'm halfway past. I lay the horn.
Also, buses two lengths back from a light with 4 ways on. You go to go aroung them and just as you signal to get in front, they pull out. ?

I let them in, I just personally don't like the fact that they always go to the front of the line (say if the bus stop is early on in the turn lane) only to slow down traffic and make the people who would have otherwise been at the front, be put in a position to pass them yet again.

Bus wasn't in a bus bay. Can he just run people into traffic poles like that?

I haven't look at the laws, but they have right of way, and we have to yield to them when safe iirc. But the buses seem to take it to mean they can do wtf they want.

Right of way is pretty meaningless if you don't exercise it and let idiots block you with impunity.

Besides; they'z bigger.

Good on the dash cam car for going back.
Glad those pedestrians didn't start crossing.

My understanding, is that they have right of way out of bus bays. That was definitely not a bus bay.

I've seen buses cross three lanes through an intersection and almost run people into opposing traffic, that isn't what the law was about.

I have no problem letting them in when they signal properly and I'm not in the midst of passing them. They move right back over, so it's always a short term slowdown.

I stopped riding my bicycle to work downtown when a TTC bus that was behind me, so obviously saw me, tried to squish me into the plexiglas/concrete under the Bay St railway bridge.
He pulled out to pass me, and then pulled back over when I was level with the back door of the bus. I was too freaked out at the time to get the bus number.
I believe that there are some really good bus drivers and some nutbars, just like everyone else on the road. Watch out.
