Right lane was clear but mr Uber/Lyft Corolla aggressively went into the left lane then decided to go the speed limit
Uber and corolla? Damn. That's piling bad driving stereotypes into the same car.Right lane was clear but mr Uber/Lyft Corolla aggressively went into the left lane then decided to go the speed limit

She obviously read the handbook on how to end your life, before it has even started.19 yo hit and run, then unconscious behind the wheel, then runs over cops at a ride check and flees. Warrant issued for her arrest. Dumb kid. I would have no problem with a lifetime driving ban for her.
Woman, 19, sought after Hamilton police officers struck by vehicle during NYE RIDE check
Hamilton police issued an arrest warrant for a 19-year-old woman accused of hitting two police officers with her vehicle during a RIDE check on New Year's Eve.toronto.citynews.ca
Hannah Pietrantuono, from Hamilton, is wanted on 10 charges including Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm, Failure to Stop after Accident Causing Bodily Harm, Fail to Comply with Probation, and Resist Arrest.
She's checked most of the boxes. Failure to comply, neck tattoo that is hard to conceal, trying to kill cops and the list goes on. A very solid effort on how to destroy your future. She obviously read the handbook on how to end your life, before it has even started.
This is Canada, slap on the wrist and off she goes on her merry way. She's checked most of the boxes. Failure to comply, neck tattoo that is hard to conceal, trying to kill cops and the list goes on. A very solid effort on how to destroy your future.
Sadly probably true (although cops still in hospital will get her more than running over civilians). It would be infuriating to be a cop trying to do a good job and watching the revolving door at the courthouse give them less time than you spent on the case. This is Canada, slap on the wrist and off she goes on her merry way.
I saw a different timeline (crash, police investigation, slumped, hit police car, ran ride check, found vehicle abandoned). No idea which one is correct. The original timeline of events released on new years day after this event had me scratching my head/
Officer noticed female slumped over in her car with a bong in her lap.
officer reached in, tried to turn off car when female woke up and female (overpowered, my words) officer and started the car and crashed into police cruiser while fleeing.
then was stated car was found a couple streets over and suspect fled on foot....
then same vehicle blew by the ride stop and injured the other 2 officers.
which lead me to believe the original police didn't secure her vehicle and she was able to get back to it and then drive away and cause the second accident...
Then I got ripped apart on twitter when I said it was bad police work that the ORIGINAL officer who's cruiser she hit let the suspect get away. and of course everyone thought I said the 2 officers that got run down should've caught her.

Interesting. It doesn't look like he is running ALPR. Running ALPR should be like shooting fish in a barrel. I wonder if they were just random traffic stops for bad driving and they happened to have no insurance or if he was typing in tons of plates while driving around.4 uninsured drivers in one shift... how long until his next post is pulling over the same 4 drivers driving while license suspended.
