Unfortunately no, it ended up coming back from the recalls and certification faster than anticipated so at that point it was time to close the deal. I took up the delivery option from AM given the road conditions, forecast, plus the snow - it arrived just as the heavier snow started yesterday as well.

The delivery guys rode it up the driveway and right into the garage for me.

Bummer not getting to actually even ride it yet, but it is what it is buying a motorcycle this time of year.

Looks like a good rain on Friday and then 5 degrees on Saturday, albeit cloudy, but if the roads dry up I'll probably go for a scoot. Wouldn't have been a good enough and reliable window for me to have suggested I go pick it up and ride it home myself however. So delivery it was.
Are you taking that to james bay?

Awesome.

I actually rode my new one today, did a whole 1.5km. Jusssssttt far enough to learn that heated seats are the best thing since sliced bread lol

Well except for those of us doing donuts in our Urals or resorting to flying to the other side of the planet 😎

Cool. I know nothing about trials bikes, much less electric ones - am I reading it right on their website that the motor stays spooled up all the time and there's still a traditional clutch? I see a left hand control (but no right) so I'm wondering what's going on there.

Yes. It can be set with an "idle". It has a conventional clutch that you can use or ignore. Brakes are conventional.

The dealer has put up thier website. I'm getting excited about this. Cool video on the home page.

I've only done one day on a trials bike at Trail Tours.

Is the Dragonfly a good first bike or would you recommend a traditional ICE instead?

Also... $16K...

(Plus everything is x2 on my end here)

A good used ice bike can be had for about $7. There are a few for sale out west.A 200/250 is all you really need.
I sent you an invite to the fb for sale page.

So…what smells like an Africa Twin, looks like an Africa Twin, is as capable as an Africa Twin, and as awesome as an AT…but won’t cost the sale of my children to acquire?

Just asking…

a used africa twin?

So it may be possible! Without being a baller!
Looks like a dealer so maybe no wiggle room here, you used to play that game tho.

One thing i forgot, these bikes can be pretty tall. Make sure to swing a leg over before writing the check.

You're welcome to come see mine whenever if needed.

KABOOM!
a bit beyond his budget, maybe he can haggle it down?

Get this  : WE CAN BE KTM BROS!

I’ll try it when I bring your grapefrucello…

For a few months I've been thinking on getting something with a different sound track. I don't dislike the sound of the triple when doing day rides, but at low rpms driving thought the city is not appealing.

A few years ago, I heard an mt07 with an aftermarket exhaust and I fell in love with the CP2 engine, but the are selling for ridiculous prices.

Lately I've been eyeing early 2000s sv650s, which seem more in line with my budget for a second bike.

Still beyond budget. Let’s say 8-9k max.
There was plenty in the Fall online so I'd expect them to be posted back up in the next few weeks which will give better options and with that some price negotiating. If you find a lower mile KTM 1190 Adventure for a good price they're excellent (had one bargained down to $8500 from $12k fully decked out and low km but I hesitated and it sold).

awesome bike. The "S" version have a bit more aggressive ergonomics, if you find the "N" it will have more comfortable bars.
Goldilocks bike, not slow, not too fast, just perfect. Good insurance, use regular fuel, plenty of character from the v twin as well, and good sound too
