Soooooo tired of everything, everywhere, all the time....being Covid19. I'm sure I'm not alone.

So lets take a moment to change the page for a few minutes in this thread (if nothing else) and reminisce about some of our favourite rides or photos from last season.

NO COVID19 discussion.

Just the good stuff.

I'll start. I was lucky to have a lot of time last summer and did numerous big trips on 2 wheels covering just a touch under 30,000KM by the time the season was done - the big ones were Sturgis, the Black Hills & Wyoming, and a trip with another member here that covered the Tail of the Dragon, the Cherohala skyway, some bits of Moonshiners, and then Back of the Dragon on the way home.

My favourite? It's a real toss up. I enjoyed the tail and back of the dragon a whole ton...and I enjoyed every second of the technical roads down there.

But even though it was a whirlwind of a trip, I think SD and WY the week before Sturgis was my favourite. Around 6000KM in 9 days of riding. A few iron butt days, and several medium mileage days enjoying the scenery and the technical roads out there.

That trip yielded one (by no means all) of my favourite photos last year:

How do you manage to cross the country without getting a spec of dust on your bike? Mine gets dirtier than that riding 9km to work.

I half-assed washed it at the campsite in Sturgis. It's actually dirtier than it looks. Rode through 6 or 8 hours of torrential rain on the way across the flats and the bike was a complete disaster upon arrival in SD. But it's amazing what you can do with a little bucket of soapy water and 3 or 4 microfibre cloths.

Not that long before...bike not so clean. ;)

My last year of riding was uneventful. Two weather aborted trips to the JBR were my highlights. I think I'll try that again in July this year.

I did manage a lot of Ontario miles, I think I did about 35,000 in total last season. I did put some miles on a few vintage bikes, the shaking and twisting brought back memories of what it was like to ride when I was a kid -- lots of fun, I'll try to do more riding on the old girls this summer.

This summer will likely be all-Canadian. One of my kids is relocating to Northern Ontario, about 8 hours of seat time each way, lots of options for routes.

It would be fun to arrange a GTA weekend ride -- put a few faces to names.

Two track days at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Australia. In fact, that was the last "real" ride I had last year, 5th November. Since then, it's only been local hops to the forks and back.

It got trailered around from photo op to photo op. :ROFLMAO:

I kid. I kid.

But yes, Getting tired of the multiple C-19 threads here.

Last year, No riding for me. Well actually, a day rental during fathers day weekend. Courtesy of my wife.
Did the Forks and some side road to and from Milton.
(Don't mind the squid gear. The helmet was the only thing my wife could find without ruining the surprise)

Bought a new-to-me bike to get back into riding after 12 years. Got the old R6 ready for sale and sold it this year.

Excited to get a least a weekend trip or two under the belt this year and some single day trips when time permits.

I've done both your rides before. I kinda wished I pushed to see the above monument. That would have been a great thing to see. BUT, the stretch from Minnesota to Rapid City is brutal. And I was on my stratoliner with batwing so I was fairly comfy compared to my riding crew (who were on speed triples, and a gixxer).

Loved the run going down to the dragon across the bluesky....made it longer but was so worth the memories.

I need a good long run again this year...

too much work last year and not enough riding

2 years ago decided to escape an ice storm coming our way
made it down to the gulf coast, Texas and got the tires wet

I thought I was turning off the video camera, but I was actually taking a still picture with the hemet cam,
otherwise the final commentary would have been OW! $%^& $%^ that hurts! #$%^& that hurts! $%^&* that hurts!.....
still pinned under the bike at that point, getting up was like Bambi on ice
Early January
(y) I feel much better now!

band-aids are for useless city slickers
bleeding can be stopped with tree sap
wound covered up with dehydrated trout skin
Who keeps dehydrated trout skin around? A roll of electrical tape should be enough bandaids for many years (or you need to alter what you are doing to get cut so often).

zip tie tourniquet and a stone-moss poultice (y) lol

I still had to start the bike and ride it out of the woods, you couldn't walk anywhere! lol most of you could not even do that.
