Taxi Driver charged with murder of Skateboarder

Toronto police have charged a taxi driver with second-degree murder following a collision that killed a man on a skateboard Monday night.

The victim, 28-year-old Ralph Bissonnette, was struck by a taxi on King St. just east of Jarvis St. around 6 p.m. while riding a skateboard west on King St.
Toronto police spokesman Tony Vella said homicide investigators spoke with a number of witnesses and have since laid the charge against 43-year-old Adib Ibrahim.
“It’s alleged the cab driver… intentionally made contact with the victim,” said Vella.
Police have also reviewed video that captured part of the incident. They are urging other witnesses to come forward.

taxi drivers should start to wake up and learn to really drive properly

This just tips the scales for me, i've always hated taxi drivers, but now lets call him what he is, a foreign, piece of crap, murderer.
If i witnessed that, he probably wouldn't have lived either.
This is just solid proof of how they act everyday, and an example of the type of lowlife scum we let in this country.
 
Since when are skateboards are vehicles? Unfortunate death but skaters, rollerbladers and joggers do not belong on the road. Toronto cabbies are crap but the skateboarder has to share blame.

This is BS, all of the above mentioned modes of transportation should be respected.
None of them are illegal.

well, i wonder if the skater provoked the driver...not that that makes it any different...but still, would like to hear both sides...

...I'd have willingly driven my SUV (if it had a cattle-catcher/brush bar installed) into the lady in the red VW Jetta who pulled into the middle lane of the eastbound 401 from Dixie, and by pulled, I mean cut across the slow lane and ignored incoming traffic doing her calm, nonchalant 60km/h...

wanting to do something because they ****** you of because they are a complete ****** and actually killing someone are two very different things imo.

We'll see what he actually gets in the end. I think if you're going to kill someone, using a car is the way to do it..

That's an even bigger problem, and i'd gladly put some lead in his head first, followed by anyone with the same intentions.
He's 10x worse than someone that moves here and doesn't respect our way of life.

Because it is much better to have them ripping down the sidewalk weaving in and out of pedestrians then taking a foot out of a lane, Should we get Bicycles off the road too?
 
the cabbie probably had a previous encounter with that skateboarder, actually a "long boarder". cabbie meant to bump him and make him fall, teach him a lesson, but the longboarder was a dumbass for not wearing a helmet, smashed his head on the curb and died.

Bicycles are an established form of vehicular transportation and for the most part, can coexist with autos if everyone follows the road rules. Skateboards are not and they don't belong on the road. That space between the right lane traffic and curb is crowded enough.
