Buddy from way back had his fill, and ended it all a week and a half ago.

Most men, there's never any signs.I never in the past took mental health seriously. My employer offers numerous courses to help educate their staff. I'm just now realizing there are many different challenges people are facing. Some times is the person sitting right next to you without any signs.
No question about it. I knew two guys that opted out last year. Great guys in their 40`s and 50`s with a load of family and friends. Great jobs and each talented. It`s nuts when something goes sideways in your head and then you`re dead.I bet if you ask and most men are honest, it would surprise you who contemplated taking their own life

My first experience was at 12. A friend was caught with a Playboy book in his bag at school, he shot himself before his dad came home from work. It's all around and has been for years. These were all people I knew,
- the kid who had a locker next to me in high school
- a best friends brother
- my cousin
- my nephew (he watched a guy commit suicide by subway - didn't likely help)
Pretty sure I'm missing another one.
I think it's called spotlight effect when the person making the error thinks that for the rest of their life the spotlight is on them for an error in judgement. In reality, people forget but it's tough at the beginning. My first experience was at 12. About 10 others in the last few decades.

Unfortunately you are correct.I bet if you ask and most men are honest, it would surprise you who contemplated taking their own life
Me… never, the though has never crossed my mind .Unfortunately you are correct.
I think every man / woman I know has contemplated it. Hell I have over the years.
But it’s a permanent solution to (typically) a temporary problem.
I have my children and wife to think about and they keep me going through the roughest days and nights.
