Swarming events

Sounds like instead of a group of thugs beating someone up on the street, they are moving it to organized events for easier pickings.
Perhaps not a new trend but one that is picking up steam?
 
I guess i need to get my daughter and son in more martial arts

At least take 2 or 3 down with them if this happens. Give enough time for people to maybe help

Someone taking part of this is gonna get hurt real bad if a parent is in the vicinity (and then charges pressed against said parent...but still)

There is a really good chance the prick kids would have identifiable marks if I'm around. You don't need to get them all, just a few to make identification possible and convince the others its not worth continuing. Decimation, not genocide (obviously not to extent if death, just consequences).

They think there are no consequences and they are invincible. From a legal system perspective, that is sadly quite accurate. If they take some damage in a self- defence situation on the other hand? Need to keep your eyes open and watch for weapons though. Little pricks have no boundaries (didn't a bunch of gta tween girls stab a house less man to death for fun?).

Many years ago my cousin (in Poland) was a black belt in some martial arts. He was attacked in the street, took down 3 of the guys on his own, and went home.

3 days later, instead of 3 guys attacking him, it was 10.

Spent a few weeks in the hospital clinging on to life. I'm not saying your plan is a bad idea, as being able to defend oneself is a critical skill...but the problem is these idiots come back stronger, harder, and in larger groups if they know who stopped them previously.

Yep, no need to look for problems.
I can deal with most ppl but will avoid confrontation at all costs. I've seen people jumped and it is not pretty. Numbers always win.

I learned my lesson 2x in my life.

#1 - was outside of SHOXX in the Junction where I found a guy peeing on my car. I went up, asked him WTF and promptly got punched in the face and swarmed by 3 others. Thankfully my buddy came out and broke 3 noses (he likes to fight).

#2 - walking with the kids and an idiot speeding up and down the street. Gave him a 'WTF' gesture, and he stopped the car, jumped out, and started coming toward me and my kids. Thankfully people started yelling at him and honking so he got back in the car and left.

Yesterday I did something similar as #2, but then realized I'm yet again with my kid, and this stupid traffic change on Credit Woodlands just pushes the speeders from the roundabout, to the area directly in front of the school.

You can't win with the a$$holes.
 
I would probably get along with your buddy from #1

In my younger yrs hanging out at some of the rough and tumble bars along on the lakeshore in long branch. Ohhh my body still aches

Wishful thinking, one article I read a week or two ago said everyone was standing around filming it on their cellphones as opposed to helping/breaking it up. Good for the police to use to identify suspects if given the video footage at least.

LOL i didn't grow up on the shore, I'm from Nova Scotia. Didn't get to the lake shore till i was 18 In my wild yrs. well i guess i still had a lot of growing up left to do. It was a lot of fun.

The old good year plant, Pittsburgh paints Gabriel shocks. lots of industry was on the lake shore back then.

The Eastwood was the main watering hole

Oh for sure totally.

I'm still hoping they're more likely to go for the defenseless person over the person who'll retaliate, especially the first time around. It's a cowardly act in the first place.
 
Anything other than (agreed to) weaponless one-on-one is a cowardly act.

Duels are not included in the 'weaponless' above.
