Swarming events

Many years ago my cousin (in Poland) was a black belt in some martial arts. He was attacked in the street, took down 3 of the guys on his own, and went home.

3 days later, instead of 3 guys attacking him, it was 10.

Spent a few weeks in the hospital clinging on to life. I'm not saying your plan is a bad idea, as being able to defend oneself is a critical skill...but the problem is these idiots come back stronger, harder, and in larger groups if they know who stopped them previously.
I was once told by someone who had a black belt in one of the forms of martial arts that once you get your black belt you sign a waiver that your hands are considered lethal weapon. Here is Canada at least

Is that a myth?

This was happening at wonderland last couple years, nothing new and police usually can't do anything because the perpetrators are youths.
To be fair to the police, they pretty much know that the courts will just punt them. Why invest the time and energy in an arrest when there are no consequences. If anything, it reinforces the invincibility felt by the pricks.

Unrelated to swarming but cops in at least one Ontario town have actually issued press releases decrying the state of the justice system. Arrest a serial violent offender, they get bail every time and normal commit another violent offence within a day. Bail granted again. Why bother arresting them?

Give the rats knives and turn them loose in the House of Commons.

Swarming tends to by cyclical. It disappears and then comes back.

A martial arts instructor said the best defense in a knife fight is to run like hell.

From article..
"About a month before the slaying, Patrick had been arrested and charged with two counts of assault and one count of uttering threats. And then he was released.
Oh, and he was freed on bail again after being charged with killing Vigneswararajah."
