Suzuki Demo Ride @ Brampton Powersports - July 16, 2011

Kind of weak you dont get on the highway, I went to a Harley one on the weekend and they went on the highway, but then again I wouldn't really want some hotshot squid that rides a CBR125 to jump on the Busa and kill themselves.

Hope they let me on the M109R & GSXR-750 with an M2

GSXR-750 is fine, but the M109R required a full M in Barrie. The M50 will be ok for an M2 holder.

Highway demos would be nice but im sure its just all about liability reasons for the exact reason you said. Just everyone PRAY for no rain!

In case there is an incident resulting with damage to on of the motorcycles, how would that be handled?

Going to head over to Power Sports sometime today or will try and contact Suzuki to get the procedures of how that exactly works.

One can only assume that Suzuki has the bikes insured. Other than that it would be just like any other accident/claim.
I'm pretty sure they've factored in the potential cost of someone totalling one of their bikes, as compared to the advertising benefits - it's still probably cheaper than a billboard or television ad.

the test rider pays the deductible i think. that's how gp bikes does it. before u test ride they take your lic and credit card.

Harley Davidson didn't take a credit card - just your driver's licence number. I'll be sure to bring a CC with me just in case.

I'll be there bright and early to try these bikes in order:

GSX-R 600
GSX-R 750
DR-Z400SM
SV 650S
V-Storm 650

Riding up there with a buddy. should be fun.

leaving downtown toronto (front/spadina area) at 830 to go for beakfast at dennys (40 courtney park in sauga) then heading over to the demo. Anyone from downtown wishing to join, you're more than welcome!

wanting to try the GSX-600/700 and maybe a couple others if available

That is a bit late if you want to be there at 9:00.

Anyone riding in from central or the east end in the morning?

PM me.

Can one test more than one bike?

Why do i work saturdays! I am missing all the demo days. :(

I'll be there very early. I'll be testing out the Gixxer 600, 750, and 1000.

Good thing I live 5 mintues away.

Theoretical question (and I know a few people are curious but don't want to ask)... What happens if you get into an accident while on this demo ride? What happens?

a) If it's your fault?
b) If it's the other person's fault?

last year on the ducati demo day, some guy took a corner way too hard on a hypermotard and lowsided.
he ended up paying for ~2k damages b/c it was 'his fault', and not the fault of someone else.

i think if its 'your fault' you end up paying the damages, if its 'not your fault' then you just pay the deductible.

but thats just what i think
