Actually that's seems to be exactly how you get all your information; the major news networks. The only difference is that you have already determined that everything they say is a lie. That's not the worst of what you do though, because then you come along and act like you know the definitive truth about what actually happened, regardless of what makes sense.
The funny part is, what is the purpose of this particular "conspiracy"? The only premise I can imagine you are trying to put forward (poorly) is that terrorists don't actually exist. Is that your point?
It wasn't that long ago he was bleating about the economy tanking, and telling everyone to buy precious metals, in particular silver. What's happened to the (metals) commodity prices must be an anti-conspiracy conspiracy or something.

Boston had K9 for the event. They didn't have a CBRNE capability so they hired a company that did. The guys that work at the craft are ex whatevers. Cops, soldiers, firefighters. Nowhere else teaches you that stuff. They were there to find radiological stuff if they could. Given the task I would assume they were EOD + Rad qualification at minimum.
There is a remote possibility that the dogs might have found the bomb before it was deployed if they passed it on the street however it seems like the dogs were not around after the awards. Found one pic of a K9 cop. Looks like they were too light on the dogs.
There were Americans crying about them at the start line apparently enough to get an announcement, if that's true. Didn't see any dogs when it got real.
The craft guys were there but the job was still radiological so other than looking useless they couldn't have found an IED. No Uranium, no beepy beepy.
Threat assessment for events is based on size and media coverage. A larger event is given higher consideration and more resources. They had Ground to Air missile detachments on the roofs for London Olympics... A threat is not a voice on the phone saying "I'm going to bomb the Marathon". It's not, "we are going to airstrike the Olympics". A threat is any situation given the most likely means of attack that you have to guess at.
99% of the time nothing happens but you do it any way.
I've lost interest in this until the trial.

If terrorists were so hell bent they would be detonating bombs everyday.
It would be easy to do and hard to find you. If such groups were so bent they just have to give a homeless guy $20 and a backpack to drop off or carry on the subway or a train.

I just want to concur with this. And I know that the word "nuclear" makes it seem far fetched, however, it isn't. There are so many commonly occurring radioactive products in N/A that anyone can make a dirty bomb. The explosion isn't what kills. The explosion is just the route to get the agent in to the air to be circulated.
A guy was arrested in the states as he ordered a large quantity of house hold smoke detectors. The piece inside that makes them work is amerimicium-241 and has a half life of something like 400 years. His plan was to take them apart, grind up the pieces he needed and throw them in a bomb.
Watch a movie produced by the BBC called "Dirty War" and it will show exactly why those radiological guys were there.

It's very simple to make Chemical weapons. If you can make meth, you can make sarin gas. Ricin can be made from Castor beans.
I saw a video where a guy made anthrax (also pretty easy to make) in his own kitchen, and showed a new team how he does it without getting sick, but I can't remember more details about it.
Sarin is what was used in the Japan subway. It was, luckily a weaker concentration of it. They cut the production of it short because they had a feeling they would get caught before they finished getting it purified. Had they continued with preparing it, there would have been a LOT more casualties.
I'm on a CBRN response team, I spent 4 months in the last year training for events. So yes, it is on the radar as it is expected to happen and the threat is higher than most people realize. I've had live agents in my hand, seen first hand how simple it is to make this stuff... It really is as easy as grade 10 chemistry.
No conspiracy, no iluminati trying to funnel us sheep in to be slaughtered. Just the government trying to save us from a bunch of whackos out there that don't give a damn about human life, because of some stupid fairy tales.
