Sunday Sunrise Ride

Thanks for waiting...

Ride deferred? Pssst!

With 5 riders, we clocked 300k door to door. Got caught under a cloud on the way home on the 400, but with still enough highway left to air dry before getting on the 401!

Maybe a longer ride next week? See you then!

Thanks for leading in the wet gq. Good pace for the conditions. (Too bad about C-Note - :confused1:)

Stopped to take a quick leak, and everyone just blew by... Oh well.

Monday ride is on, short one (300 k) current forecast is for 17c and coludy with rain in the afternoon.

Meetup: 7am at T-Hortons, Sheppard Ave. East of 404 (usual place)

Leaving at 7.20 and back in town by noon.

Pace: spirited but not stupid

M2 and 250cc sportbike minimum to keep pace on 400 series

Route: low traffic as possible (approx 325 kms)

Please confirm if you are coming and arrive with a full tank as we are only stop once for gas / food / washroom etc.

Nice run, but damp once north of Newmarket, have not made through Nrwmarket this year on the bike without seeing moisture.
6 bikes started, 2 left once the rain came and 4 of us hung in to River rd, Cremore and and a few more nice roads around there. 347 K door to door.back in time for lunch.

Forecast was accureate for Toronto 17C cloudy but I should have been checking for Terrra Cotta as well. Thanksfully no heavy rain.

Good to hear that you made it today Starship, even if the weather continued to be a little uncooperative. Hopefully the ride can be "re-united" next Sunday.

A nice, but slightly short (4 or 5 kms), piece of pretty twisty road near Creemore is the one that runs from Highway 124 (west of Creemore) down through the hamlet of Dunedin and then into Creemore (along the Noisy River), which adds another four or five kms of less twisty turns. Worth doing, along with others on the way up.

Thanks to Starship for sending over a good route, Lapper for sharing a cool variant of the River Rf portion (...and not running out of gas), Ariel for pushing the pace (trying to keep up with a Busa was fun) and duo of Fozzy & Aminal for hosting one of the most ridiculous group rides I've been on... The sheer ridiculousness of a 100+ mostly sportbike ride made the trip to Georgian bay all with it!

450+ kms and back by 2 (a bit late but worth it!)
