Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

"Will run" is a bold assertion considering what I can see of the wiring harness

I'm also extremely skeptical about their optimism on the tires. "Tires are great" seems unlikely as it's been sitting for quite a while. Maybe not much wear but almost certainly garbage due to age. If someone offered him 300, he should take it and run.

I'm not going all the way to Goderich to find out.

Ok, the $62,000 V-Rod says "pending". Are we in a Twilight Zone episode??
That's the graceful way out. The person gets tired of the snarky comments and then Marks it sold to prove the haters wrong. It's still in the original garage.

What is the point in the 'pending' edit. Hope that someone comes in with a higher offer?

I've never understood.

Pending the buyer reviewing the car condition report that the seller bought from a website the buyer specified? Seller obviously isn't all that bright. Maybe he's waiting on a cheque from a Nigerian prince that has to have it.

2013 Vstar 250 odd ad $575. “Selling on behalf of owner with no ownership or keys”

"Can put you in touch with the owner to get that sorted out after sale. " Ummm. No. I buy from the person whose name matches the ownership. Even for $500, I'm not buying bike that you don't own.

That's a strange one.

I guess I can sell any bike I want on behalf of the owner.

Go to a parking lot and pick one. Post it to sell on behalf of owner.

"Please come with flatbed to pickup bike at your convenience"

We're selling off our baby stuff and last month when I took a deposit to hold an item until later in the day for the buyer I got another person asking about it. Told them it was likely sold and they got all pissy and told me I should have made the listing *PENDING*. I replied but it was to the effect of "Geez Karen I'm sorry to have troubled you so wrongly".

Honestly, it does feel it "legit". But, still the dumbest way to sell a bike I've ever seen.

Like, is Whitby really that far?

#9 Grab the keys from the owner or change ignition and gas tank cap ($40 for a set on amazon).

If we can't get a hold of the owner, it's a simple fix. "trust me" wtf?
