He's also selling his G310R stunt bike. He has $11,000 into it plus $2000 in maintenance. It is a 2018 with 18,000 km. How do you spend $2,000 on maintenance on that unless you broke it? He wants $5,000.

He's also selling his G310R stunt bike. He has $11,000 into it plus $2000 in maintenance. It is a 2018 with 18,000 km. How do you spend $2,000 on maintenance on that unless you broke it? He wants $5,000.

Perhaps he's counting his "shop hourly rate"... for his own maintenance...

Sometimes, sometimes, I can see how this happens in my own train of thought. First reaction was "hmm, $13K is a lot, but that bike isn't that old is it?" followed by "holy crap that bike is already 13 years old"

I saw this a couple days ago listed at $17000, and I thought it was a typo. He lowered the price but I think he might be insane.

Already "pending sale"? Registered as home built? Wouldn't the bike have a VIN Number? Stolen bike, or Salvage, only way to register? I don't get it.

Probably a branded bike from auction USA or other province. Grind the numbers then reregister as home built and get a new vin.

I didn't think you could register home built bikes anymore. As far as registering a production bike as homebuilt, who looks? Mechanic writes safety, MTO does paperwork without looking at the bike. Most of my trailers have been registered as homebuilt, they were never near a mechanic or mto office for anyone to question the provenance.

If you build something like a chopper with an off the shelf/custom built frame or say a Champion framed street tracker they're registered as home built

Correct. You can register a home built frame with an affadavit from the builder and a bill of sale.
