I know that if u own a vehicle below $5000 it's not an asset. But I applied for osap 2012/2013 before I bought my cbr 125.How would that affect my osap funding/decision

Talk to your financial aid office or your student information centre/ student advisement centre to confirm. You can also contact OSAP directly.

You should be fine though as it is a 125 and not a brand new 1000. If you are questioned just explain you are using it as a commuter, cheaper insurance, cheap on gas and free parking, taking the bus is gay etc.
 
They probably just wont give you transportation $$. I think there was a question when applying for osap where they ask if you own your own vehicle or something which you would probably have to let them know if you want to be on the safe side.

Since when did any company rely on kijiji for market values for bikes?
 
osap did for my truck, insurance does for every claim if you dont have an apraisil. so that would be thousands I guess?
 
ya i will have to do that next week but i wont be using the bike to go to school anyways

pretty sure it doesnt i have a ninja 250.. still received my osap lmao which is what i used to buy my bike :D
 
How are people getting this much for OSAP? My OSAP didn't even cover 75% of my Tuition/Residence.

I had to do student line of credit from a bank because my parents "made too much" - well, they also had too much debt load. Government doesn't take that into consideration I guess..
