Congrats on the WeeStrom. The word from Chiller is that it will not go over 195.

That's right... I rented one in Germany to ride the alps and it on the autobahn. 6th gear will top out at 185kph if you drop it to 5th and keep the revs 300rpm from recline you can get it to 195kph. That is with it held wide open throttle for 40km. Down hill wouldnt cross it 195. Uphill would maintain 190'isj unless the hill was really steep. These are "accurate" speedo numbers not like our north American speedo's that are off.

My brothers CBF600 topped out at 215kph in 5th gear.

We found out the CBF gas mileage sucked compared to the VStrom. After 1 hr on the autobahn cruising at 150-195kph the CBF burned 1/3 more gas then the VStrom.

In our group we also found out:

BMW GS 1200 tops out at 210kph
BMW K1600GTL tops out at about 245kph (that's the new 6cyl bike)
Ducati MultiStrada 1200S keeps pulling at 270kph ;) ( tho a Porsche 911 Turbo pulls harder) haha
 
wow, I didn't know the strada had that much juice in it. How was the gs1200? A year ago I had a major crush on it.

The GS gets unsettled above 200 kph. Suspicion is that the touratech aluminum panniers are designed for high speed cruising.

The MultiStrada tho has a retuned 1198 motor in it so I'm not surprised. After 240 tho the front end feels light. Again probably because it has luggage

I can come up for coffee at the timmies but am sitting kids from lunch time onwards.

Am going to try to come out tonight for BB

North as in my direction north, or just north of you guys?
 
I haven't put that much thought in it. I am down for whatever. Just felt like going for a longer ride this time.
 
anyone planning to ride tomorrow? I might check out the Ice House in the morning to see whats going on with TSN's Motorcycle Experience
check out the bikes , then ride from there
