Very true. But what can you do??

Toronto pays more for insurance because all these fraud insurance Claims. Not theft.

You actually believe that nonsense?

I do. Quebec pays way less then Ontario because we have physio, income replacement, torte claims etc. our accident benefits are out of hand and people fake injuries to get a big payday. Now lets say Ontario got rid of most of this bs accident benefits, our premium will have to go down.

just like it did after they cut the benefits by about 50% eh?

any idea what auto insurance companies took in profit last year?

Billions I bet. There is suppose to be a 15% decrease in premiums. But that's another argument.

So they make billions, cut the coverage by 50% yet they cannot bring the premiums down because of fraud?

And they're gonna cut the premiums by 15%?

:lmao:

You smell that?

When I say billions I mean the company as a whole not just Ontario.

I pay $83/month for my rr, I'm not really complaining about my insurance. I guess less people are willing to purposely get hit while riding.

dayum sorry to hear, i'll give a shout if i see that bike as its a one of a kind in my opinion, nice bike too.

Atleast you had theft insurance, I am getting liability only :T gonna suck hard for me if someone stole my bike, gonna install tons of security on mine though :S cant afford the loss

fire and theft coverage for 5 years will cost you less than buying a bunch of anti theft crap that will do nothing to stop a thief

haha thats actually somewhat true :P, but you can sell a crappy anti theft device when you're done using it

its not just somewhat true bud.

Most of the time adding theft to your policy is an extra 10$/month or so. Definitely worth it for the piece of mind. Add that to your on-bike security measures (chains, alarms, etc) then you are as protected as you can be.

Like many have mentioned, most on-bike systems are simply deterrents. If someone really wants your bike that bad, they'll find a way to get it. Some thieves have more determination than others. Insurance covers you for those determined ones.

Or you could be out the cost of the alarm + the bike...

Which is far more common. I wonder if the used Scorpio systems are off stolen bikes and the theives just go after the people that buy em,

I guess you have you car with them as well?

They quoted me $65/month with the car. Same bike as yours, also 27. Car Subaru Impreza WRX.
But.....they won't insure my car for another 2 years lol
