Still in the Game Rides!!

Hey IXFe, That is my favourite route for a 1 day ride and I have done it 3 times this season. I will definitely be doing that loop in the fall but will most likely be up that way in the next 4 or 5 weeks as well. The Firehouse had always been my stop for lunch, my last few times there the service was very slow and trying to fit an enjoyable lunch into such a long ride....so on the last trip we went to The Bush Company just another 20 mins north on 35.
Better food, much, much nicer establishment, good service. It will be the lunch spot from now on.
Plus, it's location breaks the ride up better. You get to keep the flow of the 35 going, then eat, laugh, relax, then onto the next stage.

Routes look good no matter gets planned here. Just hope the weather is nice.
I guess I'll be doing ... Uhem 'roll call' Friday?

Saturday Aug. 18th (weather permitting)
Destination; Prince Edward County
11hrs +or- (still planning route)
NEW MEET SPOT; Annina's Bakery Goodwood (I see your better lunch spot and raise you one better meet spot)
Meet 8:30 Stand up 9:00 sharp (I'll be there early 'cause here, you want to eat!)
Going to have to sacrifice some rubber to the 401 (spit)
PM or post if interested...:thumbleft:

Anyone still up for this? Eek? (Sure is making your number job easy. lol)
I and a friend are still going. I also now have incentive to keep it as close to 10 hrs as possible.

thanks for the tip.. i'm heading up to Henrietta's Pine Bakery right now.. I'll swing by to check out TBC as well. :)

How was the ride out to Prince Edward County? Any fun roads, and how was the scenery? Sorry I couldn't make it :(

Nice ride and a great group! Timing was off on the scenery as usually some of the roads in and around the vineyards are lined with huge flowers, they are no longer in bloom though. Roads were good and the short jaunts on the 401 weren't bad at all. I have to do that run once a year, and the restaurant at Lake on a Mountain is nice too.

Nice, I hope you enjoyed it! Were you riding? I would have asked you reserve me a table as I am currently figuring out the details of getting up there this coming weekend.

sorry have missed that ride - sounds like it was great (probably would have only been able to do a small part of it anyway)

Just to let people know - getting a chance to head up to 507 this Friday - anybody else interested?

I wish I could join you Friday but can't get away.

Saturday is mtn. biking day so I am trying to find time on Sunday or Monday for a decent ride. (hoping to get up north too.)

Sunday. Muskoka. (Do the old faithful route up north before the leaves start falling.)
Meet at Famous Sams - N/E corner Woodbine Ave. and Stouffville Rd.
Meet around 8:30ish, kick stand up at 9:00.
10+hrs. with a stop at The Bush Company for lunch.

I know this is a bit last minute so let me know if you are interested, 'cause if it is just myself and a friend or 2 I am going to check out some roads up there that have caught my interest instead. Plus, this could be my last Sunday ride for the season.
