State Farm Rate Hikes in April?

I have my insurance activated on the 6th of April. The SF agent told me that they are expecting 8-13% increases in premiums which did not affect me. Hopefully I don't get next year with a large increase :(

Got my 2013 State Farm renewal: 10% increase in my premium for a 2010 D675, live downtown. Between 2011 and 2012 my rates dropped, now they're back up to higher than my 2011 level. Clean driving record.

i just renewed at 119/month. same thing i was qouted last year for cbr600rr, I'm happy I was paying 160/month on a 250r last year.

Get this. I mentioned that my statefarm policy is going up BIG TIME for 2013.(almost $400 increase) RBC and TD quoted me $2,200 and $1,980 respectively. I picked up a flyer at the motorcycle show a couple of weeks back for Mantha insurance brokers and since i had nothing to lose i decided to call. I was quoted almost half of SF for the same coverage!
I've heard some of you guys complain about being quoted a figure and all of a sudden it goes up because of an error on the insurance side but ive asked on two seperate occasions to confirm the info is correct. i will let you guys know what happens but for those of you having a struggle with insurance i reccomend you give them a try. This will be my third year of insurance and 2nd year with my full M and drive an 06 GIXXER 600cc, 41 years of age. good luck to us all.

Hmmm i'll give these guys a call and see what they say.

Perhaps, keep calling around.

I'm paying ~$1700 for a 750. I don't know if the 848 is in the 1000 class or not but if it isn't, your quote should be near mine. Call around and ask which range it falls in.

I don't understand how someone can say I pay $100/month and not share what coverage you're getting.

There's a lot of options, I pay $1100/year through TD for a VFR800. I can also choose to pay less than that with less coverage.

It's pointless to share how much you pay without sharing what's covered.

My coverage for $1100/year includes:
- 2 million liability
- $300 comprehensive deduc.
- $500 collision deduc.
- first accident forgiveness

If I opted for only liability, it would be much less than $1100/year.

As i said in another thread my State Farm insurance is up for renewal April 26, 2013. I've received my rates and new insurance card already.

**-11%**
$2900 to $2600
Currently 24, wont be 25 until october(end of riding season, and yes this matters because insurance is pro-rated)
same driving record (clean)
still only M2
same policy and living in the same area

.... Yep.... SF raised my rates by $120 per year, again. Third season, 600cc, no tix, no accidents, perfect driving license.

More experience + clean record = Raised rates!

Also, I turn 30 later this year - SF agent just told me that the rates DO NOT come down and there is (and I quote) "no rate decreases in the foreseeable future for you"

For the record, I only have my bike insured through them as they are not competitive on car rates at all (atleast in my case)

Same thing with me.
I shopped around, took my business elsewhere. Insuring twice the bike for the same price SF was charging for a 600. 3 years in a row with an increase, so much for loyalty and a clean record.

Bottom line, shop around.

So, has anyone had experience with this Mantha insurance? i called for a quote and they are cheaper but when brown stuff hits the fan and you claim something, are they reliable?

I just signed up with SF.

New rider, M2, 28, London. About $800 for full coverage on a 2012 Ninja 250.

Would be a good bit cheaper if I bundled my insurance but their car rates suck *** compared to Desjardins for whatever reason.

My friend has his vstrom insured with them for 2 seasons now. no complaints. He's never made a claim though.

That is interesting, my quote was $90 and I am paying $135 with sf. On r6 with 1 ticket for full coverage. Hope it is not a b&s then jack up the rates later.

My quote went down actually after I signed the paper work. Originally i was gonna pay $4272 a year but later when it was approved by head office, my quote went down to $3914 a year. Thats a massive drop especially seeing it so soon after signing. Quotes went down instead of up in my opinion.

It sounds like he didn't even get vaseline with premium.
