State Farm Rate Hikes in April?

180 lol. I also have home and life insurance ;P

Exactly...good bike rate, terrible auto rate. I pay 40 bucks more a month for my bike but 80 bucks less than you for my truck.

Regardless i wish i had his rates :(.

I got a quote before the price hike and one after, a $4 increase.

Has anyone else heard of this from their State Farm Agent:

"In regards to changes, they are internal State Farm changes. They are predicting a rate increase on motorcycles (but I do not know the extent)

Just got my renewal in the mail. my policy with statefarm went up from 1,600 to 1,900 for the year. ive been good, with a clean record. 41 years old. ive had insurance with them for two years now starting 3rd. driving an 06 GSXR 600. what gives?

I just got my renewal and it's the same rate as I have been getting the last two years.
I ride a 2006 GSX-R 750 and I'm paying less than you.
Did you recently move or something?

That cant be right... a SS would cost me 2k/year with statefarm and i'm 22...

Speaking of increases ... As I said earlier in the thread .. I've gotten used to sf hiking rates little by little .... Just got my march "bill"... And something on my policy went up 2 dollars a month between end of February and end of march ... Oh we'll .

So if you sign up with SF before April 8th will you get the current rate for the year?

I guess so (correct me if I'm wrong)

I was told to call back because at the time of calling I didn't have a full G yet and a total of 5 years of driving experience. I got my G yesterday and April 25 will be a total of 5 years. So I guess that's why he told me to call back after the 8th.

April 8th is the date I was told too. I was informed it would be an average of a 10% hike for motorcycle insurance. So anyone interested in getting Statefarm insurance, do it before April 8th!

Get this. I mentioned that my statefarm policy is going up BIG TIME for 2013.(almost $400 increase) RBC and TD quoted me $2,200 and $1,980 respectively. I picked up a flyer at the motorcycle show a couple of weeks back for Mantha insurance brokers and since i had nothing to lose i decided to call. I was quoted almost half of SF for the same coverage!
I've heard some of you guys complain about being quoted a figure and all of a sudden it goes up because of an error on the insurance side but ive asked on two seperate occasions to confirm the info is correct. i will let you guys know what happens but for those of you having a struggle with insurance i reccomend you give them a try. This will be my third year of insurance and 2nd year with my full M and drive an 06 GIXXER 600cc, 41 years of age. good luck to us all.

.... Yep.... SF raised my rates by $120 per year, again. Third season, 600cc, no tix, no accidents, perfect driving license.

More experience + clean record = Raised rates!

Also, I turn 30 later this year - SF agent just told me that the rates DO NOT come down and there is (and I quote) "no rate decreases in the foreseeable future for you"

For the record, I only have my bike insured through them as they are not competitive on car rates at all (atleast in my case)

My rate went down $1.25 per month. Exact same everything as last year.
