Since this has turned from a product sale announcement to CT ***** thread I'll just throw in my comment that I have never had a problem returning anything there -- usually with just saying next to nothing either.

I do, however, take issue with their bait and switch sales. I can't remember how many times I see something I wanted for 75% off regular price, I am there Friday morning on the first day of their sale, and no more in stock -- I thought Ontario law says they have to stock a reasonable amount of a sale item?

They are very good with raincheques, so I just ask one of the associates for one and always get it so I can get the item when it's back in stock at regular price

Once again, Mastercraft tools have a life time warranty, hence why the replacement even when tips are snapped off.

So why do i have a brand new broken $200 MASTERCRAFT floor nailer that they won't replace?
Went to the closest store, refused, called the next two closest stores, same story, no receipt, no assistance.

I'd go into one of the 2 other stores. It really depends on the rep. If they give you the receipt bs, ask the rep where else you could have bought the Mastercraft item and if he's still being difficult, ask for a manager. You know what they say about squeeky wheels ;)

The same thing they say about axle sticks?

No, they won't.
You realize one of the people in this thread works in Head office at Cdn tire right?
If he can't make it happen, i'd say i'm screwed.

What happens at the HO and what happens in a store are 2 different things.

Except that head office can make the decision to refund you the money and charge the store for it.

I provided the number on my first post.

Each company has Employees that do not follow policy, some because they are paid minimum wave and they don't care, some because they don't know the policy, some because they were burned by customers too many times and now are too proud to give into the customer even if they are right, you will find these types of employees at CT, Home Depot, Movie theatres, Future shop and every other retailer. This is the reason why there is a home office and there is a customer service number for you to call if the store is not following policy.

Call the number or continue to complaint about it, it is up to each person what they do.

You are right on this one, mostly is due to the same item been on promotion back to back weeks, the store would run out of the item the first week and be out of stock for the second week. This is mostly Home Office fault and there is a really big push to get this resolved right now so it does not happen again.

Trust me store employees are the ones that have to take the brunt of customers being rightfully ****** off.

The management of the old store on Market St/25 in Milton used to move the stock from the shelves to the store room the night before the sales started then back to the shelves the day after the sale was over.

Williamson, hehehe. His idiot brother playing service manager was an even bigger train wreck.
