Stanley FatMax tool box on sale at CT

CT is great for returns, esp with tools.

I had an old Mastercraft adjustable wrench that I was once turning a stubborn large nut with. Took a 10ft length of rigid pipe and used it as leverage on the handle of the adjustable wrench. LOL, needless to say, the wrench snapped. I went back to Crappy Tire, and they replaced it with no questions asked.

Im a Wiha user too. Best screwdrivers I've ever used. Add Klein to your list too, good stuff. Fluke is a no brainer. top notch stuff.

Probably one of the best scenarios of the employees having no idea whats going on. Tips snapped off, chrome sockets rounded, cracked and mushroomed.

"uhhhhhh ok let me check if we have any more"
"don't bother, here is the replacement, I've taken the liberty of getting it for you"
"Thanks!"

Love canadian tire lol, always head straight for the cute girl at CS who'd rather not be there, avoid the grizzled old supervisor at all costs

Once again, Mastercraft tools have a life time warranty, hence why the replacement even when tips are snapped off.

Correct, and a mushroomed chrome socket is a clear sign of using an impact gun, ie. misuse

The only problem I have with Crappy Tire is "No Service." Every time I ask a kid what aisle is a particular item, its like I'm asking for his first born.

Go to Princess auto, you ask them & they literally walk you to the aisle. My most memorable moment is when an older gentleman asked me what I was working on, I told him & he even offered me tips. He even throw in a free socket for free. Now that's what I called "above & beyond"

My experience was different.. Theyd always point me to an aisle, but most of the time, they'd pull the number out of their rectum and count on me bugging somebody in that general area instead

That's my experience so far in Scarborough. But that shouldn't matter. I'm here to give them $$.

There was one time I had to complain about an associate's general attitude & demeanour. Apparently I wasn't the only one who complained, so I was told by the manager. I wanted to ask what is being done about it. I didn't went back to the store for 3mths & normally I get stuff there every week

Unfortunately PA only sells tool-like objects.

As far as CT goes, I swear the hire their loss prevention people from the Lobotomy Clinic.

Those "tool-like" objects gets the job done for a hobbyists like me

They will if you have the receipt, but not without it.
Which is total BS since mastercraft is only available at Cdn Tire.

+1. Great for those rare tools that you seldom need but get the job done.

I needed a 14mm offset wrench to get to one bolt when changing the alternator on my car. Went to crappy tire… $15. Went to princess auto… $4. It was a crappy no name wrench, but got the job done, and haven't used the tool since.

Yep.
I needed a special wrench to do my brake lines in my car. $5 for one, needed 2. Haven't used it since. In fact, have had a Princess auto tool fail on me yet. I heard they really honor their warranty. They really mean "we're not happy until you are"

One time I needed a 12 point socket to remove a bearing. Went to crappy tire, dude look at me like I'm speaking dutch

go to CTC through the week during the day if possible, part time kids on weekends and evening are less than stellar.

Agreed.

You cant find one kid, and when you do they are all huddled talking about weekend plans or whatever Justin Beibers new song is.

CTC has some bs business practices. Couple yrs. back almost went bonkers with their spade type connectors. 50 to a pack female. 50 pack male not available but happy to sell 4 pack at quadruple unit price. Checked 5 local stores for imaginary missing 50 male pack. Total bs. PA for electrical connectors ftw.

how the **** did this end up in the romper room? this was a heads up for the track people. ****ers wrecked my thread.lol

haters, but yet everyone keeps going back to CT

but since we're now talking about returning **** to CT. I exchange 3-4 T15 screw drivers every 2 weeks. Snap the tips off all the time, used to do the same with the snap-on brand. It would take the snap-on guy a week to show up to exchange them, now I drive around the corner.
