Sprocket and Chain Questions

Ok, so I've had the new front and rear sprockets on with the chain for a bit of time now, I found that there was a high pitched whining coming from the chain whenever a load was put on it. I believe I've tracked it down to the front sprocket, I took off the cover to inspect it, the roller from the chain enters the sprocket with an audible knock. I double, triple and quadruple checked the slack adjustment and it's perfect. I guess my question is should I be getting rid of new front sprocket and replacing with a newer one? Maybe a renthal or something(sprocket doesn't have a name brand, only that I got it from sprocketcenter.com, which is what it says on the packaging. Rear sprocket is from Superlite sprockets, no noise from that side of the chain tho) can anyone tell me if my front I wearing as it should be?View attachment 29784
Did it come with spacers? Is it on the correct direction? On my bike the front sprocket can fit on either way, but if you look at the collar on the sprocket, installing it one way makes it off center from the chain and you can hear "click, click, click" as the chain tries to go over it.

Use photobucket or whatever to host your pictures, not GTAM. Quality is important when checking for wear.

No spacers, and it has markings to indicate which side was in. But I did notice that my stock sprocket has a rubber ring around it and the new one did not. What's the rubber ring for, could that be the reason for the noise? Sorry bout the pic quality I'm sending from my cell. Worst case I'm gonna spend the 50 bucks and grab a new stock one and see if that changes it, cuz moving the slack didn't make a difference.

What chain you running? 520? Is your front sprocket marked for which chain it is for?

I picked up a 525 14/40 sprockets and DID 525VX chain set. It's only marked for direction.
So the front sprocket is not marked 520/525/530?

Sorry u was on chicken burger and Heineken break :) if it was marked on the engine side of the sprocket I don't remember, but I'm fairly certain it wasn't. Is not being marked that way indicative of an inferior product? Sorry I'm just asking so I know what to look for the next time I buy, cuz I thought sprocket was pretty bare compared to the stock one I had to replace. Crap I was hoping I would never have to battle that front sprocket nut ever again, that thing kicked my ass the last time, lol......random thought, I'm watching Rogers previewing documentary about Bob marley. Why has no one made a movie about his life yet? If they even try to cast will smith as Bob I may just kill myself:P
