Sorry but this **** has to stop!

Move to the country

That doesn't always work out.

Seems the Queen of Canada and her cultists have moved into an old school in a rural Saskatchewan farm community and has told the residents in a self typed "cease and desist order" that any of them that get in the group's way or doesn't abide by its beliefs will face public execution.

Stop freaking out about how other people ride. You do you, and let them do them. The joy of a free country.

I counter your statement with this photo.

3 people died in this crash, the rider and the two passengers of the car.

"Stop freaking out about how other people ride" is all fine and dandy until the twatwaffle doing 200 on the 401 weaving through traffic screws up and his bike ends up being a projectile that wipes out your family.

And even if the car driver survives, there's mental scaring left behind by many who have to witness the results, or be the vehicle that rider hits and destroys and then flies over their hood into traffic only to see them get run over, or whatever.
are you perhaps forgetting the "responsibility" that comes along with "free country".

Lately I’ve been thinking about the first responders who have to try to save who is fighting for their life and getting there a moment too late, who scrape what is left of folks off the pavement. How does that scar them for life?

My brother is a critical care paramedic, in helicopters his entire career. There are no minor incidents when the helicopter is called.
The ones that can not deal with, leave pretty fast.
@cycling was a flight medic as well I believe.

Dunlop RC-30? This happened on the 401?

That 1990 RC30 was new the first time I saw that picture. They cleaned the blood off the car and carted it around to British schools on a trailer for years.
And you'll notice that was a side on collision, so it ain't happenin on the 401.
There was one at Weston/401, about the same time as this picture, where a guy, and a pillion (his young girlfriend) went under the back of an almost stopped flat bed at about 100mph an his Gixxer.
Oh well.
Statistical anomalies

But that bike was traveling when it hit that car.
If you don't know, there is a VERY strong band through the middle of a car door, to counter side-on collision intrusion, that picture shows LOTS of side-on intrusion. That band is SUPPOSED to keep a 4000# car from entering the passenger compartment to something like 60kph.
Hats off to that rider. Setting a high bar there...Well done sir.
I knew a guy that hit mid '80s Lincoln Town car, side on like that, Cam was doing about 100mph on a KZ1000... in the rain. Almost cut the car in half. (there's a few of us that think it was a suicide).

I hit the front quarter panel of a minivan doing probably about 100km years ago and it only made a dent. Bike was a write off!

"Soulcatcher668" Thank you for the complement. I was not a "CC" I am now out of the medical field. Do I miss it? Yes. Loved helping the Patients.
Thank you to your Brother. A Hero.

How long until something like this happens here (or maybe it already has)?
Holy shitballs
I've definitely had close calls when oncoming traffic screwed up. IIRC, at least once, I took the line and they went past on my right as that was the best solution. Thankfully, I have never split two oncoming bikes. Not much room there and a good chance a few people don't make it.

Lucky he didn't have time to react/change his line or it would have been fatal.

This thread has swung for the fences.
