Just paid my down payment yesterday! My new (to me) 2009 Yamaha YZF R6, just a little upgrade from my '87 ZX1000 :)

Usually I'm not a big fan of fancy styling and paintjobs, but I really really like yours! Congrats, I wish I had that bike for the street myself, looks sick!

By no means is this a quick bike, but being ~60BLs lighter and 15 more HP than my RT, it feels quite a bit more snappy.

Nice bike indeed. I'm on the fence about the orange. I think if it were me I would have done those pieces in the green but either way it's not horrible. Definitely different :thumbleft:
 
The RSV4-Rs have come in all over North America. Great value for a bike. However, the Factorys haven't arrived yet... so i guess I break in the tires on the Tuono this weekend, if i get any time out at all. A bit disappointing if I won't be able to take it on my yearly Deal's Gap trip.

Thanks for the compliment! I'm not sure if I'm entirely sold on the flames either, it was an amazing deal and the R6 is what got me interested in bikes in the first place so I couldn't pass it up! Only time will tell if I keep the flames, but for now I'm more concerned about getting some time in the saddle can't wait until next week when I go pick it up!!! :D

I'm not a fan of green, so the orange didn't turn me off any more than the green did. I think it looks OK. I'm not a fan of painted/light coloured wheels anyway, pain to keep clean ;)

Nice bike!!! It has a flashed ECU so make sure you take your time with the throttle, it is very direct, and has all the "rider safety" limitations from Yamaha removed ;)

Oh don't worry I'm going to ride it like a grandma! It's going to be quite a bit more responsive than my 25 year old ninja I'm sure haha.
