I got my mother a pretty nice plan.

New phone for 0$
300 minutes per month
6pm-8am unlimited calling
Unlimited weekend calling
Unlimited texts including picture and video

With tax it is $14.30 per month.





I myself
250 minutes per month
6pm-8am unlimited calling
Unlimited weekend calling
Unlimited texts
Unlimited incoming local calls
VM and caller ID
1.5 GB data

With tax $54.50.

250 daytime
unlimited 5pm-7am
unlimited incoming
unlimited text and mms
unlimited Canadian LD
CD + iPhone VM

Mobilicity (works great in GTA and I haven't found a dead spot in my travels) BTS plan

Unlimited calling (incoming / outgoing)
Unlimited Data (I'm sure it's throttled at 2GB)
Unlimited text

$26 /mth tax-in ($23 before taxes)

NO CONTRACT, NEVER EXPIRES (or until Mobilicity goes bankrupt).

BTS is actually $25/mth but you get a $2 discount if you put it on monthly auto renew.

No LTE and not compatible with iPhones excludes that as an option for many people.

No LTE is correct. The new version of the iphone 5 they started selling in April is compatible.

Mobilicity and wind, regardless what you think of them, helped the wireless plans in Canada by forcing the big 3 to lower their prices.

Having said that, the service isn't for everyone. There are spotty coverage areas and data is nothing more than casual browsing or social media updates. The price reflects the service.

I have 2 lines, one with wind and with rogers. Wind is $30/mth unlimited everything and suits my personal needs. The rogers one is for business and my clients foot that bill and they don't care how much it is so long as they get a hold of me.

So many options out there today that if you put the effort in to shop around you'll find the best plan for you that also fits your budget.

I have absolutely nothing against Mobilicity and Wind, they really are a godsend for the Canadian wireless market. More competition is always good news for the consumer.

They're not a solution for everyone though.

This.

I saw the whole page ad from the Wireless regulator in yesterday's 24hr newspaper at the GO station. They're claiming that Canadian's pay ~40percent less then our American counterparts. The only thing going through my mind reading this was thanks to Mobilicity & WIND competing in our market and definitely not because of R and B.
