It's disturbing that I can now spot a Verticalscope forum in the first 5 seconds.

I wasn't willing to mess around with off-model shocks, given that the bike doesn't have a linkage. I just went straight for an aftermarket unit, that was made for the bike.
 
My bike is stored down there as well. Ride bike in the spring. Mine's in Tecumseh. If you don't get to riding it back by summer, let me know, I'd be happy to ride it back for you
