Police report. ASAP. People who drive in a patently dangerous manner need to receive correction from the legal system.

If the ramming was deliberate is this not a criminal charge ie dangerous driving?

Also a member commented on another thread "We have a legal system, not a justice system."

It would be rather difficult to prove intent. On the other hand an operation without due care and attention would be possible. It would be best if there were independent witnesses.

If one had a GoPro with audio and......... He: "Why did you ram me". She: "You weren't going fast enough." If I was the gavel banger it would be enough for me.

This wasn't the typical rear ender where it's the result of a misjudgement (Other than misjudging her own importance.)

Audio and video changes the whole roadmap, which is why I'm running it.

How does it work when you are driving down a two way street with parking allowed on one side of the street so you are basically three cars wide with less than 3ft. of space on either side, is still considered filtering? Most Toronto streets are like this and most barely have any markings on the ground.

As for being what's coming to this beeeeeeeyotch, I think the fact that she ran over your foot might help your case but when she took off for the 2nd time is when I would've whipped out the phone and call the police and reported the situation.

I wonder if it's the same one that hit my friend a year or two ago. He was stopped waiting to make a right on a red light and she decided that he wouldn't be there when she got there. Later, she tried to blame him for running him over. It was a Beemer though. Maybe she had to downsize from that settlement?

Very curious what happened with that. Kudos to OP for maintaining his composure and getting the plates.

Stick families and baby on board signs are some of those most idiotic trends that appeared in our culture recently.
Sense of entitlement and an ever growing craving for attention and recognition.
The arrangement of those stick figures do make for an interesting social study though. And probably useful for criminals scoping your house as well.

The "Baby On Board" sign started as a way to tell emergency workers in case of a wreck to do a double check for an infant that could have flown anywhere in the car.

Sort of useful...but like most useful things it became bastardized.

"The Baby on board signs are believed to date back to the 1980s when they were first put on sale by the Safety 1st Corporation.
Although it is said they can alert emergency services to the presence of a child, their original purpose was to encourage other motorists to drive carefully in the presence of a car carrying a child. "

Both ideas utopian and unrealistic.

but the planet is flat..im scared i might fall off the earth if i drive to the end of younge street :P

lmao!!!

The scary part is that a bike will get a bigger fine filtering in Toronto that this twat will get for rear ending a bike, running over bodily another driver, and fail to remain.

this is true, not going into essay long details, but the whole system in canada is currupt, everyone is sleeping with everyone so they can have a constant life of confortable revenue and living, while the people work and provide that comfort.

the judge is friends with all the cops, all the cops are friends with all the prosecuters, canada is a legal system for those who know how to work it it is not based on a JUSTICE system to protect righteouness or truth.

If anyone gets a ticket go to court and see how many people have stunt charges, from 70 year old farts to a teenager who just got his license, out of 30 people in that one courtroom 90% will all have stunt charges, its all a monetary scheme, they don't care who they catch, who is right or wrong on the streets, they just care who is dumb enough to get caught and nail them, this is not about being the good guy or bad guy for both sides, once people understand that, you will know its just a game, their system will collapse.

Ironically I see more and more bikers filtering than I've seen in past years. What type of a ticket do you get, if caught by the police?

The only one time was when some random a hole got mad at me, called the cops, all i did was tell the cop on the scene, i filtered because it was not safe for me to stay where i was, the drivers on their cell phones were driving wrecklessly and i was scared for my safety so i filtered to where i felt i was safe. He did not care about the filtering, he just let the other driver cool off, checked my license and thats it, after that i filtered in heavy traffic, and other then some red necks getting mad like they were on their period, no cop trouble ever since....with everything you can either be smart about it or stupid, it depends how you approach the situation.

No, it's why you run cameras and then pass the evidence on to police.

yea you can do that, considering you're still alive after the incident, the whole point of filtering is not to get killed or hit in the first place, have a camera only shows proof you got hit, dosen't SAVE your life. I rather save my life then have proof i got hit, trust me been there done that, tired of rebuilding bikes.lol

+1

Both are safer than doing neither. Filtering saved my body and bike in one incident; not sure how well I would've fared if I'd been in the place I was if I didn't filter. I wish I had cameras for that one to demonstrate.

Resposible filtering saves lives yes! ... like i said a million times before here, so new riders can possibly learn something, always ride ahead or behind traffic, never cruise between/with cars, keep distances from herds of cars, try not to ride during rush hours, if you do, FILTER responsibly, i.e without being a jackasss or stupid about it, finding an already stopped car infront of you is sometimes safeter then trying to reach the front of the traffic light, all you need a already stopped car behind you, just find a gap infront of a commercial truck or non passenger car if possible, if its not to far, and safe, filter all the way to the front.

Filtering is easy if the rider is smart about it.

One thing is legal. The other is not. A driver who is aggressive in traffic and causes that sort of incident is rarely acting that way for the first time. Get enough people out there who can provide evidence of that sort of action, and you'll soon create a situation in which it's far too expensive for people like that to continue driving.

I got rear ended today. Not a scratch to the truck but very new Kia has nice hitch receiver dent now. I said to Rosa "I hope you werent on the phone" She said "No! Never! I was looking for a piece of paper, I'm late for an appointment" It's a zoo out there. In here too.

So just a small update, I've been very busy with work & helping out some buddies with their bikes.

I went to the hospital for some x-rays and there's swelling around some tissues in my foot but the doctor said "over time, it will heal" There's a small amount of pain but now I'm able to move my toes :)

I've spoken to two different people from State Farm, one from accident & benefits, the other property damage? Well they're going to contact her to get a statement & I have to wait a couple days or so for a call back.

Don't be too worried about any of her BS. I have been involved in a situation where a lady sideswiped me (in the cage) and tried to pull a fast one. My adjuster was good and it was determined to be 100% her fault. Instead of just paying the body shop $930 for the repairs, she got 6 years of insurance butt-rape

I find most people that have a "Baby on board" sign on their car drive like retards (ie don't care about anyone else on the road except themselves) and are completely self-absorbed.

They tend to let their car do their talking when they're put in an uncomfortable situation.
