So I got rear ended on the 401/400 south ramp :(

What's the point of 'Baby on Board' stickers? Are we supposed to backup 100 feet from any car that has this sticker? Screw these stickers.

Notice this, cars with "Baby Stickers" and those "Family" stickers, are the most agressive, and careless drivers out there, and this is why, this is my theory, its because these cars get over looked by cops, they are todays minivans effect, no one gives a **** about them, they get away with alot of careless driving because of these stickers and types of family type cars they drive. It eventually becomes their driving style, and they don't even know it.

This also applies to commercial vehicles that get over looked by law enforcement specially Busses, Courier Vans etc, untill one day like today, a commercial courier van, with driver on cell phone rams into a TTC bus, kills one passenger and injures 12 others, and where was the police? oh yea chasing down bikes and sports cars doing 20 over!

This planet has progressed to a great joke! i bet people still think we are the only civilization in the universe, the top of the food chain and that the planet is still FLAT! LOL

but the planet is flat..im scared i might fall off the earth if i drive to the end of younge street :P

The scary part is that a bike will get a bigger fine filtering in Toronto that this twat will get for rear ending a bike, running over bodily another driver, and fail to remain.

Ironically I see more and more bikers filtering than I've seen in past years. What type of a ticket do you get, if caught by the police?

If the cop is having a bad day, you get racing and they seize your bike (>$2000 by the time you are done), typically they give out failure to drive in marked lane.

Same thing just happened to me today. Sucks hope things work out better for you. glad you got a plate #

Depends on the cop and the situation it occurred so it could be a few things.

Failure to drive in marked lane - 3 demerit points

Improper Passing - 3 points

Careless Driving - 6 demerit points

driving a motor vehicle in a manner that indicates an intention to drive, without justification, as close as possible to another vehicle, pedestrian or fixed object on or near the highway - Lose your license

Much better

Hope the cops acted quick to get the evidence of damage off the other car. Seems everything depends on that.

No, it's why you run cameras and then pass the evidence on to police.

Both are safer than doing neither. Filtering saved my body and bike in one incident; not sure how well I would've fared if I'd been in the place I was if I didn't filter. I wish I had cameras for that one to demonstrate.

I fear the same but hope it works out...

Sounds like he'd have been splitting, not filtering, which has its own issues.
