Could be closed for days....just in time for the long weekend
 
Luckily those guys above were not killed. All cube trucks and or trucks with loads should have had to taken Eastport. But that would have taken common sense.

My crappy 10 year old car even tells me when my trunk lid is left open, how the hell is there not a warning light on the dash of these trucks blinking wildly? Especially when the trucks speed is over 60km/h??

The switches are bypassed, and lights removed or ignored ..

I was in a buddy's shop when he was servicing a dumptruck with a hydraulic problem that caused the box to lift. It starts to go up on its own. IIRC some valve sticks. Or the driver was dense.
 
On top of that, the driver would have ignored at least a couple sets of automated "over-height" warning lights on the approach to the Skyway.

Knew it was only a matter of time ...
 
There's no way this driver was sober.... a glance in ANY of the 30 mirrors on the damn cab would have shown that the box was up. This guy should be jailed.

The driver was impaired.. I cross the bridge daily, was just a matter of time. It's a good thing the workers were not injured.
how many other truck drivers are drinking behind the wheel??????
 
Going west in Hamilton is an exercise in futility atm due to traffic congestion.
On Main St, it all starts about Gage Ave and gets thicker as you head west.
