Shopping list for 2013 track season

I've been preparing for next season since early August.
As far as mods go, I think I'm done...

As of right now, my list is looking something like this:
-Generator
-Canopy
-Repaint bodywork
-Get the bike dyno'ed after I get the PCV installed
-Getting the suspension dialed to my weight
-Might powder coat the wheels and swingarm

I'm painting my body work, stainless brake lines, trailer (Sick of the **** with Uhaul), Tightening ALL bolts, and a good cleaning.... and maybe a gold bolt set. :D

Don't forget the loctite, and gold? I hope you mean titanium ;)

Nice job on the track today Xtina. Did you forget to put a -1 front sprocket on your shopping list?

I seriously doubt she's going to enjoy that much gearing on top of the rear she just put on. Too friggid cold today for the few of you who rode. Bunch of nutters. So sad that winters here :(

She said she loved the new gearing so much she wanted to try a -1 too, who am I to argue? Those gixxers are so gutless down low, it'd probably be just perfect :)

My wishlist is short.
- new master cylinder and pads
or
- new ss 600

My shopping list:

1. bike

Since packing it up a couple of weeks ago, I have finished safety wiring my bike, added an annitori quick shifter, changed brake pads and fork fluid.

On the shopping list:
- penske shock
- kit ecu or reflash

Considering selling my track bike (Suzuki SV1000) and putting the money towards a Triumph Daytona 675 that's been all track prepped....

If I keep the SV1000, I'll be looking into a better front brake master cylinder...

Don't people swap the whole front end of those things for Gixxer 1000 front ends? Especially for the track??

1. Probably convert the CBR to track only (bodywork, gearing and new rear suspension required) since it seems pointless to keep paying insurance on it when I think I only rode 400 street kms this year.

2. Put the $$$ I saved on insurance to track days.

3. Contemplate my SOAR license, but I know I don't have a hope in hell of getting on that podium in Formula Femme unless every other rider is too busy to get to the track.

I used to have quite a long shopping list, but then discovered that it was much more cost effective to just pit beside Allen and mooch off of him whenever I need something. His trailer is like a magical toy box.... This has shortened my list considerably.

1. New lines so I can fit the Brembo 4-pad calipers.
2. New tires.
3. Generator and tire warmers.

What exactly is wrong with penske?
What makes the elka better?
No idea, and it's purrrdy :)

Absolutely LOVE it on my 07 R1 :) Night and day difference from the stock shock!

Picked it up on this deal:

$895 total, professionally installed and tuned by the guy who does the R&D for Elka, what's not to love!?

Who distributes and services Penske in this area?

For my last bike, I bought my Penske from Traxxion Dynamics in the US for less than $750 all in. I believe Sharrard will service them, but I take the point that Elka seems to have a lot more local support.

Yes, I am familiar with John (he built the forks on my last bike) and spoke to him already about this deal . Im sorta sitting on the fence right now but I guess I have to make up my mind soon.
