Horribly sad. I don't how anyone could target children like that.

Please, let's not let this thread dissolve into a firearms debate.

good luck with that, you already know how this goes.
half the people will blame the gun

I'm more interested in the psychology involved of the individual - what causes someone to suddenly go on a homicidal/suicidal rampage?

Watch it to the end, its only a couple minutes long but explains a lot. Common sense really

The individual that was arrested at the scene was his younger brother.

Obama seems fed up. Looks like he's going to get called on his assault weapon stance and I wouldn't be surprised if he bans them again.

Shooter carried two pistols (Glock & Sig Sauer) and had a Bushmaster .223 in his trunk. All legally owned by him.

clearly banning assault rifles would have prevented this

Good video but too bad it'll never happen. This kind of stuff, sad to say the news channels love. Must be a ratings booster. This will be televised for weeks making the shooter infamous. Other psychos will see all this attention and will want to replicate the attention. And us as tv watcher can't help and watch

This is all due to the lax rules of gun ownership in the U.S. as heartbreaking as this is, it will keep happening as nothing is being done. People need to be screened before buying a firearm of any sort, gun or rifle. Buying a gun in the states is easier than getting alcohol in Ontario.

Screening would not necessarily have caught this guy. People snap, for various reasons.
Availability of weapons definitely contributed to the deaths of these children.
But, we're not having that "debate," right?

I'd say this is the best response

What do u propose we do???

What do u propose we do???

Not a damn thing.

I'm happy with Canadian gun laws for the most part. I don't see why anyone needs a handgun. And if people in rural communities need long guns to protect their property and family, God bless.

As for the U.S., their attitude about guns is bred into their culture. Expect more tragedies like today.

Caveat: I own several non-restricted and restricted firearms.

22 injured, none dead. 27 were killed today.

Not a damn thing.

Agreed.

I work in an elementary school, we practice lock-downs etc fo r just this thing but the panic and disbelief must have been mind boggling R.I.P to all the innocence involved. So so sad
