Shannonville surface?

Has the surface at Shannonville deteriorated a great deal over the last 2 years? I haven't been there since late 2008. I was just watching some onboard video footage, and it appears that there are a lot more large cracks and bumps than I remember. Was it always that bad, and my memory has just gotten fuzzy?

Every now and again they sorta-fix the worst spot while the rest of the track keeps deteriorating. There are weeds growing up through some of the cracks. It is rough.

You dont have a flask J?

How unEnglish of you.

More than what the track is currently worth.

As for the the original question. It hasn't deteriated any worse over the last 2 years. It's about the same as ever. All the bumps are still in the same places and the grass is still growing in the same cracks. The only difference was that the run off in pro track turn 2 was leveled out so it's not as bad as it once was to crash there. It was done maybe last spring now ?? Oh and there's a newish bike loading ramp on the south side to load bikes into the back of your truck when your there.

I hired a guy named "TIM" to repave last season, he said it was no problem, be done in 2 days.

I think he got lost on the way there somehow because I keep seeing him in photos with Palm Trees and other exotic plants.

I hope he's OK and no one is worried about him.

shhhhhhhhhhhuddup!

people are already asking where the green bike with orange rims went..... if you want your half of the island you cant keep tellin people stuff.

I never noticed that whoop section and rut going into turn 2 (long track) last year, and that sweet hole with the green circle around it coming out of turn 3, ya dont hit that it's like being punched in the kidney.

The hole exiting 3 has been there for a couple of years ... although I haven't run that section of track this year yet.

I know that hole all to well! Last year I hit that hole and came right off the seat, but by chance i saved it even though i was like a rag doll being tossed around.

Yea, the surface is *****... the owners a cheapskate. The grandstand needs paint too. But I still love the layout. It takes a million to make a million. He should pony up the $$$, the place would explode with popularity if he did.

I hit that bump on the power thru turn 3 all the time... But the bump I hate the most is PRO track config. turn 2. The inside bump. I cracked 2 ribs, broke my food in a thousand pieces and sprained my ankle hitting that little bastard. F U Shannonville lol.

Saying all that, I'll be there on the 17th for a trackday LOL

You gave this guy the money in advance? thats too bad --

My brother talked to one of the guys running the SMP day on June 17th. They looked into repaving a couple years ago. It comes at a cost of a mill a mile.

Sad to say...this is exactly why I don't want to do track there. I've seen video and was thinking the same thing! I'll go somewhere else when I get the chance to do it...
