Shannonville surface?

I hired a guy named "TIM" to repave last season, he said it was no problem, be done in 2 days.

I think he got lost on the way there somehow because I keep seeing him in photos with Palm Trees and other exotic plants.

I hope he's OK and no one is worried about him.
To get to SMT you have to make a right at the dragon (after a little crash) a left in Miami after some clubbing with some asian girls (supposedly the husbands are still looking for me to kick my ***) then make a left by shopsys and you are almost there, it takes a while. If not I am sure he will give you your money back if you complaint

Was on the Fabi track last week and found it perfectly acceptable, in fact pretty smooth

Smooth compared to what? Really the worst part right now is the section through the esses off the Fabi to the Nelson. It feels like a 3 inch drop. You can change to a line that isn't nearly as obvious and get around the worst of it, though.

I enjoyed my day out on long track yesterday. Way preferred it to TMP. All this despite hitting the T3 exit hole and getting launched off my pegs.

Wouldn't hurt if they cut the grass a little more often too (the stuff off track I mean, not on track :D )

Turn 5 was tricky yesterday because you couldn't target the apex, you had to choose a turn-in point and have faith that it would put you in the right spot. Considering the speed of the corner I had a few butt-clenching moments there when I got the entry wrong. Also a guy was sent to the hospital who went down in 5, but I dunno if the shrubbery played a role.

Someone who holds a track record on the long track told me "if you are hitting that hole you are taking the slow way around that corner." If you carry more speed and turn in just a little later than you think, it will push you outside of that hole on T3 and you will shave a second off your lap time.
Sometimes I get it and sometimes I nail that jeesly hole.

I never knew that hole existed until yesterday, and only because it was mentioned in this thread.

But I don't think it's as easy as saying that the proper line should carry you wide of the hole because a high-powered bike will want to point-and-squirt through that corner, taking it close to the hole while a lower powered bike will want to carry speed through there so it will go wider and avoid it.

Funnily enough as I got 'faster' I started running wide of the hole.

So I guess riding my 600 on the superbike line doesn't make me or my bike very super...

The lines aren't that far apart but as you start carrying more speed through turn 3 (which is a pretty fast corner) your exit line will start moving wider. On a Superbike you'd want to turn in a touch later to keep the exit line tighter, this lets you get on the gas harder and sooner.

I was going slower to stay on the inside. Didn't have any fast guys to follow and watch. Now I know, when in doubt, just go faster

You can do the 600 line on a superbike just fine if you carry the speed. Maybe I should stopwatch the two lines some time, I don't feel like one is really faster than the other to be honest, and I don't own a 600.

I am only sharing information that was given to me from riders with black numbers on their bikes. If Frank Trombino and Andy Nelson tell me that the Superbike line is inside the highside-hole I will take their word for it.

It's possible that you're not at the pace where it would matter. For the record, I likely am not there either. Regardless, I'm going to follow the advice given by lap record holders.

I'm definitely not at a black # pace, but I do have black numbers on my bike. Does that count? No? :(

Oh, I did. Bought them with my own money and everything.

Ha... i have a plotter and about 120' of black vinyl at the moment. I didn't know that's all it took.
