Cause I enjoy riding them but i would be okay with giving that up for fully automated transport systems its years away still got plenty of time to enjoy the bike.

Volvo is the latest European manufacturer to announce big developments in self-driving technologies.

It said last month that it will put 100 of its autonomous vehicles on roads as soon as 2017 and members of the public will be able to try its Drive Me system, which the company claims can cope with ‘even the most complicated scenarios’.

When I want someone to drive for me, that's exactly what I do. And I have a bike because I enjoy riding it.

Nothing we're talking about affects any of that.

Roads are meant to allow people to get places. Sure, it's nice that we have the option of doing so while enjoying the control of a nice car or bike. But when driving on public streets is banned it will bring other benefits like convenience, speed, cost, safety. And we will always be able to have our fun on a closed course.

Just not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
