Seeing RED - Insurance blues or SCAM

It was in the 1-2 million range, but I don't recall on which end of the spectrum that was, it was over a year ago.
Whatever it is/was, do we even get the opportunity to get that level of coverage here?
website posted a lil higher shows 30k minimum
where as ontario has a 1 million minimum...
(for what im assuming is catastrophic)

Thats 33 times more coverage required in ontario...

And thats the point.. it still may be cheaper for the same level of coverage in Cali as we have here but thats cause its optional and less people take it

Not necessarily, and that's why comparing US to Canadian coverage is apples to oranges. In the US they have an attitude that you have every right to be an idiot and ruin your life, with a relatively minor incident. Not so much here. Remember how much medical care costs down there and you'll realize that minimum coverage won't really cover you at all, if there are any injuries that result from a collision.

For a 2001 CBR F4i?
He was paying $80 on a 2010 GSXR 600.
That's my point.

So your point is that we are paying pretty much the same since if I had that bike I would be paying around the same as him?

Im with facility insurance, I have 8 tickets on my record, Obstruct view to passenger compartment,2 improper muffler motor vehicle,2 15 overs, improper lane change?,unnecessary noise, and a failure to report was a bad year for me 2.5 years ago. Good news though my insurance company is amazing I even had an accident on my record because some guy tried an insurance scam on me tow truck driver saw the whole thing lady who was driving originaly didnt have a licence ect ect. But statefarm F***ed me and kept it on my record even after we went trought court and I was let off and they were charged. My company contacted them and they dont count it towards my insurance, if you have a renewal coming up and the tickets come off your record in that 6 months they wont count them towards your amount. And my bike is 500$ a year cheaper to insure than my car all my tickets will be off my record on oct 10 this year so i will be calling and seeing what kind of rates I get. I can bet they will be really good this company has taken care of me like no other. With all my tickets and the accident before they actually looked into everything they wanted 4800$ a year for my bike, try even getting insurance with a record like that. In no way am I proud of those tickets but ***** happens and they helped. Not to mention I have a CBR929 so no its no a cheap bike to insure to begin with.

i pay 330 a year, on my 2000 cbr 929 fireblade.i know its low.i was with direct protect-coseco group insurance through work. they were taken over by coop, coop told me they would keep the bike, even though they dont insure ss bikes. if i buy another bike they wont insure a ss.and woul price me at todays market value on bikes they insure. i dont ask questions or even mention the bike. i just pay in full every may.get my pink slip.riding 27 years with no infractions, helped me, when the underwriters looked at my case.
