Wife had her air run out surfacing in Galapagos. Guide seemed more interested in taking pictures to sell to us. He'd checked her gauge and put her on his supply for a while, then back on her own. She was only 10' from the surface at the time, but it's kind of hard to tell at the time. Bcd doesn't work too well with no air, and the person filling the tanks didn't like it either. We did see a dozen sharks at the time, so there might have been some rapid breathing.
I always watch my own gauges , I would punch that guide in the nuts once topside .
That drives me nuts , whole point of hiring a dive master is to NOT be out of air on a tour.
