Scarborough back roads new rider no rider friends

Secret: haha Yeah, I figured that was why. It was nice riding with you too. I just got home now. It's pretty chilly out there. haha Time to roll myself up in my duvet.

Bryanist: It was great to meet you too. We'll have to get together and do another ride sometime. Hopefully we still have a few more good days.

This must be wrong.... right....? says the post is at 5:17 AM... did you ride through the night?! lol

Seems like there's a bunch of riders out in the Scarborough area. Where do you guys go out around? Looks like there have been a few get-togethers.

I just have my m1 and I bought a 125 cbr but I don't have any friends that ride.
I am leary to ride in rush hour as I live in Scarborough around Midland and Lawrence.

Anyone ride in that area?
Also is there a book I can get with back road maps for the Scarborough area and going east?
I am usually home after 3 pm and would like to get some riding time but am not willing to be run over in rush hour by the crazies.

I almost got hit two days ago as I was riding around 8 am ( I just ride around my neighborhood and the parking lots).
I stopped for a school bus crossing and some nutbar did not pay attention and came to a screeching halt 10 ft behind me:mad:.
Anyway the city streets can be intimidating as I am more worried about being hit by an idiot.
seriously , take MSF course and get a M2. it helps a lot. i live in scarborough too 401&kennedy , i would like to ride with ppl around here. let's hang out and have some fun next spring/summer :D

If you ride all the way up north on woodbine you will hit the lake. There's a good twisty road there

I went riding yesterday and stalled 4 times.
It happened usually on uphill at a stoplight.
A friend told me to give some throttle before I release clutch on uphills.
Other than some impatient people all was ok.
I went up Lawrence to Kingston from Midland and down Kingston south to birchmount and back north to eglinton and then midland.
Not bad since I get home late from work.
I also found that some people are impatient as my bike takes time to get up to 60-65 being a 125.
Seems like most people want to go 0-65 in 2 secs.
Can I go 1-2 gear faster on a bigger bike?
Try to release the clutch slowly when you feel the bike want to move, HOLD your clutch at that spot and give some throttle at the same time. You will get it smooth sooner or later. Dont mind those impatient ppls, jerks everywhere no matter you are good or bad
