Embarrassed to admit it, but I fell for the same scam but with a different person a while ago. "I lost my wallet... just trying to get back to barrie". Seemed so convincing as Im the biggest skeptic ever... Definitely earned the 10 bucks I gave him.

I refuse to help people after that. As others said before.. it jaded me.

I've been contacted by a reporter for the star and he may run a story on this,
found out it was a scam the following day when they didn't pick up my calls

I googled their number and it was on a bunch of sites where people posted similar stories about getting scammed with the same story!

the reporter told me about another video on youtube where the guy did a similar scam on someone else,

It's embarrassing that this scammer is in my town, claiming to go to the same school that I did, taking the same course that I graduated from. Sheridan and Krown should be hunting this guy down.
 
I'd rather lose $40 than lose faith in humanity. Besides, I've lost way more than that from bad decisions of my own, why should I be so upset at this wank? He lies pretty good, got that going for him. A lot of people in much higher places use the exact sane skill to stay ahead, and do a lot more damage for it. This is like holding up a convenience store for a pile of smokes. Not worth time (w/ apologies to the victim).
 
Guaranteed the scammers already read this thread and thinking of a new scam or moved shop.
 
He is so fast, rehearsed and overwhelming but so many questions pop up in retrospect like:

1. You have a phone but no friends or family you can call?
2. What's wrong with the bus?
3. Smash your window and have your Krown Royal father fix it for less than the money you're asking.
4. Can I see your student card?
5. OK I'll take this phone until you pay me back.
6. Why won't the cabby drive you to your home without seeing half up front even after hearing your story?
7. Mind if we call Krown Royal now and have them vouch for you?
But the guy is so overwhelming and imposing he really is good at putting you off guard.

I had this crack whore ask me for money to buy toilet paper once with a retarded sob story. It was so ridiculous I passed. Sneaky whore was at a coin op car wash and knew what she was doing. She hit up every chump that came into the car wash for the next hour I was there, and when the coast was clear a dude on a cruiser swung by, handed her a helmet and they drove off together!!! WTF, doesn't he have any *** wipes!?!?!?!

Seen her around the hood for the next 2 months....she is a local crack head prostitute and that was her pimp!

She stares people down and intimidates, claiming territory and honing her scam / revolting "craft".

My concern is what else these people are capable of....because believe me, they are bolder, slicker and more dangerous than we see here.

I saw a woman around fairview in a wheelchair running a similar scam. REALLY ****ing low.

BTW did is it just me or are there a lot more panhandlers these days?
 
Anyone feel like going around for a cruise around Brampton and kick the **** out of this guy for every penny he has on him? :)

Yup. I see usually one once a week at the 410 Bovaird exit after my commute. There's the one lady, old grumpy guy and the not so old guy. They seem to rotate every week.

They always get a least $1 every red light. I would say at least 30 light cycles an hour. $30/hour tax free isn't too shabby and it only cost them their dignity and pride.

That lady's name is Christina,

I've been told she actually stole that motorized scooter. If you see her early hours of the morning you will see her flying around on her bicycle.

She can also get violent sometimes and known to spit at people.
 
I miss the squeegee kids, at least they had a work ethic and stayed downtown!

Hobbling hobo bums be staking turf claims at the most congested suburban intersections.

Fain dignity, sell me some oranges or tissues like a 3rd world street kid or something!!!!
