I freak over dealership stickers and badging. No way I'd want a sticker. However the plates don't offend me so meh.

You might be thinking of something like UK tax discs and stickers. Their plates are rather large.

There are American States in which they use plastic number plates. That would likely save a fair bit of money too.

CRAP and my wife is looking at a Mazda and I really liked the front end. With the plate it looks fugly!
 
On a mazda the front plate is easily relocated to the tow hook with a $60 part.

Move up to the 6, the plate location looks much better and the front end remains unspoilt.

if thats the case, why don't they do this as standard?
 
somebody should have made the simple argument that is not environmentally friendly having 2 plates.

I didn't run a front plate on my MINI for the three years I owned it. I never got a ticket, or pulled over. But then again I don't drive like a dick or speed. There is the tow hook option, or a mechanical option the flips it out from underneath the car.

However I did receive a warning for having a plate on my dashboard. The officer told me that in an accident it could become a projectile.

Oh wait aren't they made by convicts? Doesn't matter. He'll find a way to show it as a PC win.

I am really surprised that a $1billion+ tax dollars vanishes and people can care less.
 
What they need is a QR imprint on the front and back of the car and have police vehicles with code scanners.
