I think it's very durable in some situation. If you paint something like a fairing that your leg rubs on then I think it will start to peel off. For rims, I'll let you know in the fall... A lot of people like it though.

It is holding up quite well for me on the shift knob in my car. I used a lot of coats to get a nice thick layer. It does peel up easily around the edges though, so I added a strip of tape around the bottom to secure it. You'd want to pay close attention to the edges if you were spraying bodywork like a tank that will have frequent contact
