If it were me, I would have used a gob of black silicone as a replacement. My OCD might have made me remove the muffler to shape it nicely, though.

Consider using something like Shippsy.com next time. Partzilla wanted something like $60 to ship my last purchase, but shipped anywhere in the USA for free. Had it sent to my Shippsy USA address and it cost me something like $10 instead for them to bring it across, clear it, etc etc.

And now boats.net will take 3-4 weeks to get it to you... you could have gone to a Suzuki dealer and got it in 2 days, for the same price.

True, but the Suzuki dealer in my area is out of the way, and the hours fall under my working hours.
I could have worked something out, by not for $15.

Try looking at the parts fiche for different models and years.
Rubber parts like that are usually used for many products to reduce costs.

I didn't. It was the weekend, my local Suzuki dealer is very small and doesn't have good hours. I just wanted this done and off my long list of things to do.

Actually, that would have been a 40 minute ride one way, and the same price. I think the "dicking around" paid off.

Maybe a decade ago Fortnine had the entire Suzuki and Kawasaki parts fiches available for online ordering. It was really convenient. I assume that was stopped because of the impact to local dealers.
