Rosey Toes

As humble as Ted might be, everyone has flaws. Unfortunately, I don't appreciate that trait when it comes to working on bikes, especially mine, so that's one shop, and shop owner I no longer recommend, given my one experience with him.

Exactly.

As much as it sounds a little sketchy he was probably trying to help you out by certifying the bike even though he shouldn't have. Pretty hard to find a certified bike for $1k I would think.

But I think you missed the part where he was the actual seller of the "certified" bike.

Would you guys take brand new bikes to get serviced at Rosey Toes? Or is it only safe to service older, less expensive models (Like my ninja 250) to this bike shop? I, and I'm sure others here also, want the best service on my bike without having something fall off after taking it home.

I wouldn't, but if you hav'nt guesed by now, that's just me.

As far as I know, it does not have to be running to pass safety. I think this varies from one province to another.

A safety is only valid or 36 days and it does not cover your motor or transmission.
the piece of paper is valid for ownership transfer and plates...it is not a guarantee or warranty.

Little off topic, but anyone have a recent price on tire replacement if I bring in the bike and new tires?

Thanks
if you bring it to Ted it would depend on the alignment of the moon and the stars and the wind speed that day and the kind of hair cut and cologne you are using.

Anyone that brings any bike worth anything to Ted for anything more than a "safety" in my opinion is out of their mind.

Certification means: AT THE TIME INSPECTED, it was fit. The paperwork is valid for a month, but is NOT any type of guaranty or warranty. Nothing to do with an engine that goes bad or otherwise.
