Roll up the rim

You guys know that you can email them and get a free cup?

Really?!?! I've always wanted to roll up the rim, but they don't have that for chocolate milk :(

Yeah provided they still say no purchase nessesary. A coworker of mine wanted them to use a roll up cup when they double to cups up to protect your hands from the heat and the Tims refused saying only one cup per purchase. He contacted head office because it says no purchase nessesary so they mailed him a cup.

I believe Tim Hortons actually publish the numbers on their site to do the math. Their contest rules have the number of winning cups per cup size and I think it has the approx. number of cups total.

I know I'm not going to win, so I stay from Tim Hortons during this promotion. I don't think a 1 in 100 chance of winning a ****ing timbit is worth suffering through their coffee.

This doesn't just apply to the Tim Hortons promotions, it follows all promotions since it's required by law (I believe).

When Labatts was giving away the mini stanley cups (years ago), they had the same rule "no purchase necessary, must be 19 or older to participate", so my friends and I would call in the 1-800 number where the Micro-machines guy would rifle off an address for you to send your request to get a free mini stanley cup.

Interesting how the Tim's website Winning Stats Doesn't take into account
the Bags of Roll Up The Rim Cups we witnessed a Girl tossing out the Take out Window into some Guys Car

just won a coffee out of 4 cups.

The reason for that is because if purchase is necessary it becomes a lottery. I am not sure what the exact implications but I am sure getting the OLG involved is a pain in the collective butts.

You're probably right....legal BS. Same reason why they have "skill testing questions" as part of some contests. The "skill" aspect turns it into a "contest" from a draw or something like that so different laws apply.

This is why lawyers make bank.
