Rogers :-(

What I don't get is if you call to cancel, say you were going to go through with it, wouldn't you lose your cell number?

If you really meant to go to a plan from another provider wouldn't you call them instead of Rogers?

You're correct. It's more like "I'd like to find out how much it is to cancel". If you want to keep your number, the new provider must take it over and do the cancellation for you.

On that basis then, if I don't have a contract how do I approach them to bargain? Just "give me a deal or I go?"

Have you looked into wind mobile?
If your in the GTA area most of the time they have Unlimited minutes, data and long distance for like $30-$40/month when you are in their coverage zone (Which is most of Toronto)

Wind's reception is garbage compared to the Big 3. I suggest you get a skype number, since you are using data.

anyone used Virgin Mobile? Thinking of getting one of their plans. How is their reception? I'v heard they are owned by Bell?

Click on "See Full Details" and have your lawyer on retainer.

This company sucks!

The Office of The President doesn't even care anymore.

Where did we see this before? Bell.

Pride comes before the fall, and working on Wall St. and seeing the Shorts (vultures) circling this company is the beginning of the end.

Would it not cost them less to offer Unlimited Everything and fire the thousands of employees charged with writing the code to follow your six page bill? The employee time spent arguing and negotiating with fed-up customers?

The whole model is flawed.
