RIP Hugo Chavez

Venezuela oil reserves are reported to be twice that size of Saudi Arabia's. I guess attacking IRAN will have to wait.

I guess they'd have to ditch the desert camo & re-invest in jungle camo

How long before we hear of El Qada?:lmao:
Instead of saying hey boss, de plane de plane it will be de drono de drono.

lol I am watching on BBC and the new president is been sworn in - He is holding the constitution on his hand and swearing on it, but yet inside that constitution he is holding, it says that someone else should be the president

Things that make you go hummmm...

I am not sure how this helps your point of view because the points made are more positive than negative.
I noticed they left out on major and key point.
The price of gas there is 18 cents per gallon.

I came across this chart which is rather interesting that all of the oil producers provide cheap gas to their citizens.

With poverty rampant in Venezuela and inflation rates beyond belief, Chavez was buying goodwill outside of the country by exporting money and oil. Public profile was far more important than good governance. I can't help but think of the Gilligan's Island episode where he was dreaming of being el Presidente and promising "Dis, dat, and de odder ting."

I wasn't making a point, I just found it funny and on topic

And now the circle is complete, we have drawn comparison with a fairly elected socialist dictator and Gilligan's island.

Well "fairly elected" is questionable and I didn't want to be predictable, by going the Godwin route.

The US-favoured and orchestrated alternative was a military putsch. That worked well in Chile

I hope the OP did enough research before making the post ... Cuz I know about 80% of Venezuela is looking forward to a new leader n have not enjoy his time in power.

Just saying he is not the man people picture him to be ask the people in his own country

He is dead, let's move on.
Let's see what the next guy does?
I will say gas will be $2 per gallon in 2 years from it's current 18-25 cents per gallon.

I saw an interesting post that a Venezuelan girl friend of mine made, she posed a challenge to Chavez suporters for the next election in April

She asked "give me 10 reasons to vote for Nicolas Maduro without mentioning Chavez"

Maduro = Chavez right hand who is currently running the country and the candicate for Chavez socialist paty

P.S. Gas has never been and will never be High in Venezuela, I will probably measure more on prices of food, rent, shoes..... pretty much anything that is not gas including the cars to put that cheap gas on
