Riding in this weather

You asked for tips/advice... and you are ignoring all of it... lol why even ask? Seems you already made up your mind.

Yeah go for it!! Complete newbie in -20c with super hard rubber and no traction makes total sense to me!!

I wouldn't personally do it but provided you're careful and it's clean and dry you probably could mess around a bit. That being said, it does seem like a REALLY good way to drop your bike...

Go for it - take it easy ....hell lots of us have ridden most of the winter....

It won't be much worse than the summer if the lot is dry. Just watch for salt/sand. I'd never recommend someone's first ride be on their own bike.

I don't know where you live because every parking lot and road between my place in Toronto and my work at Pearson is full of snow still.

I saw a Vespa on St. Clair the other day.

I missed worded it...its my first ride on my cbr125...ive ridden before
 
I dont see why not. You should be aware how different climates affect your riding. You will learn how to be sensitive with the throttle, just like riding in the rain.

You're in a small controlled env whats the worst that could happen. Stop being a little wuss and just go out and ride.
 
I put on the TV in the garage and find something about motorcycles or stream a video and pretend I'm out riding. I have a fan in front of me with a small heater so I can feel like I'm really there! Best part about all this! I can drink beer and ride at the same time without spilling a drop.

Do I sound desperate?
 
6 degrees on friday, anyone want to join me for a downtown ride? Sticking with the major streets, slow/non-aggressive ride.

I'll consider it but no promises. I'd need to get the day off work as the bike is hidden in my parents' underground in Scarborough and I'm in Etobicoke. PM me of plans if the weather doesn't turn sour and I'll ask my boss on wednesday or thursday for friday off.
