Riders tucked at 80km/h ...

I've done about 1000km on my bike this past week, and I've seen some very peculiar things lately from sport bike riders ...

1) Riders in full tuck doing no more than 80km/h, and just nodding in response when I wave.
2) Riders riding less than 10ft behind me in my own tire track.

Are you all new, or what possible explanation is there for this behavior, I'm really curious.

lol I was coming back from Hulliburton on Saturday around 5pm and I saw this loser on teh 401 just before scarborough on a blue R6 in full tuck at like 100 with white shorts and white tshirt and a blue helmet....now that I think about it it looked like Toys Are for Boys

The tire track thing I cannot tell you. The tuck, wind. Lots of windy days it helps to tuck.

LOL sometimes I tuck at 40 km/h. You got a problem with that? :p

After a long day on the bike sometimes I ride full tuck just to switch it up, and kinda take a break and relax.

Well if one of you guys ever saw a dude about 9 years ago drafting minivans and anything big going south on Highway 10.... that might have been me. :D I rode up to Orangeville and went to fill up, but realized I forgot my wallet AT HOME before I started filling up.

Amazing how frugal a CBR600 F4 can be if you really want to.... like going into neutral on descents and drafting vehicles in a tuck. Yes I made it back home and back to a gas station. I was living at Queensway/Cawthra at the time!

Speaking of waving:

Dear guy at the lights opposite me:

I waved, you waved. You forgot your bike was in gear. You let go the clutch at idle. You snapped your body a bit. I'm sorry. Also sorry i giggled.

As for the riding antics lately... Yeah, it's a bit weird. I've seen more potentially bad riding in the last month than i have in the last 5 years. And every time i've been pulling into traffic behind another rider, and take the other half of the lane about 10 feet back - they're all twisty about "where'd you get to" looking for me. When i can plainly see their face in their mirrors. Weirdness.

Trying to maximize fuel efficiency duh...

Heh, I'll admit I've done this like Metastable up there, but at highway "traffic" speeds and drafting vehicles to try and make it back on less than 1/4 tank of fuel.
It looks like most are doing this because the wind bothers them though ...

Is there a law stating no tucking at 80km/h? my friends throttle cable snapped my other friend and me followed the guy at idle about 14km in full tuck. **** was streamlined baby! Streamlined! lots of revving and pretending lol

Motorcycles are suppose to be fun, why make a lot of extra rules.

on a side note 10ft is close in the same track.

i heard talk about growm men tucking...damn, thought it was something else...i've seen dudes on ss bikes doing 110 in full tuck...not resting on tank, but in full tuck...

Sorry if I start to tuck in at 40 km/hr

Sheesh leave us 125 riders alone :p

1) i'll sometimes do that if it's really cold or windy

2) i hate when people do that- especially if i don't know them and they're just trying to keep up.... i ride a bike, you ride a bike- great! leave me alone!

Full tuck at 60-70 kph - one gas stop in 380 km on the James Bay Rd... came in on fumes after sampling some of the "wide open spaces" at waaaay above posted limits.

1000 km today from Matagami...once in a while a tuck helps just for a different seating position tho looks ultimately stupid on a Burgman duh.

I'd love to have a set of lower bars I could switch to for a sports touring position.
