About the only thing that you can do, other than the bars on the windows and doors bit, is put up concrete pillars that would wreck any vehicle that tried it. Then they start using chains on their vehicles to tear the chains out..... Basically the only thing that stops this, is that most people are fairly honest, or at least not dishonest enough to rob their neighbour on a daily basis.

This sucks. I wanted to go there this weekend to buy boots. Maybe a guard dog or that concrete piller idea would work. This sucks. Hope they don't decide to close up shop because of this.

LoL security eh? We had security at my old place of business, turns out the guys from the security company got caught stealing at night.

I don't know too much about high end leathers, but some of the full suits are easily $1000+ Does the industry serial number the outfits?
Maybe this could help deter thefts? I know this may be "pie in the sky" thinking
I know this is done with camera equipment and I am sure other higher ticket items.
Sad too hear hope the store weathers the loss, If memory serves correct, didn't they have another issue in the past year? Maybe not the same shop?

The guy got caught stealing from a candy machine...and kicking it in when he couldn't get anything. It was all on video lol As for the pitbul / Doberman ... what happens if the guy gets injured and sues you for it for injuries yada yada yada?

John's family has been in the motorcycle business for over a hundred years...they're not going to close up shop because of some bitchmade thiefs.

When I worked at Cycle City in Burlington we had this happen a few times but they normally stole bikes. Ultimately we solved the issue by anchoring giant armor stones in front of the building which put a stop to it entirely.

Majority of people will say no, the truth however is a whole lot different.
What makes you think that this "community" is so much different than everyone else?
Its no secret that the majority of people aren't honest. About a 1/3 of the population look for an opportunity to steal something, another 1/3 will steal if they believe that they will get away with it, and the final 1/3 won't steal period. Ponder that for a while.
Interesting that you said "who knows maybe it will come back & bite you" instead of its wrong, i wouldn't steal etc...
